Betting on a team that you manage can hurt your team.  If you have a ton of money on the game, you are going to burn out all your pitchers to make sure you get the win today and will probably end up losing tomorrow.Steriods weren't cheating at the time McGwire allegedly used them.  They were illegal in the US, but they aren't illegal everywhere and baseball is a world wide game now, not just a US one.

I don't believe he gambled while playing.  I can't be certain though, because he was a "player-manager" for a while.  I am not just like this with Rose though ... I think half the people in the HOF don't belong there.  I think that the hall should be a much more exclusive club.  I think Pete Rose is insanely over-rated as a player, and I wouldn't let McGuire or Bonds sniff the HOF.

I tried once to kill a lobster before putting it in the pot.  So, I split it's head in half like they show you in all the cooking shows.  The thing twitched and moved around for like another minute.  I have no idea if it was dead or not.  It fucking freaked me out for a week.
