http://www.1up.com/do/feature?cId=3155393

This is amazing. 1up has taken video of games that are out for both systems and split screened them to see if the ps3 is really so advanced.

There is a poll under each video that asks "yes ps3 is better" "maybe it's better" or "I can't tell the difference"

I'm not shocked with it being a newly released system that's hard to program for... and with the need for launch titles... and with how most rushed games are ports from other systems, but it is an eye opener when you consider spending 599 US Dollars for something that you could get for 300.

wow!

I would hope the games will get better than that, there is now way I'll pay 700 for and xbox 360 in another cover.... which is what this demo shows me. I'm somewhat disapointed, Sony will have to beef it up quite a bit before I'm going to go out for a PS3.

Maybe this is why they haven't advertised screen shots of their games....

If you make a decision based on the long term potential of a system, then stuff like this doesn't matter. You'll go with what you believe is the best option for yourself. That also assumes you can only buy one.

If you want something to play this year and are not intersted in waiting until christmas 08 to see a difference, why not save some bucks and get an easier to use and established... CHEAPER system if the graphics and the games are the same?

And should HD DVD and not Blu-Ray become the standard it could be the biggest mistake Sony ever made

I don't want to see it fail, but putting in the blu ray is really going all in. It will be hard to have "minimal success." It's either going to be a hit, or monumental failure.

Why? Because if sony ps3 is the only device using that format it will become SOOOO expensive to put out games.
