College wasn't for me either, but I still went. If it's a financial situation, I understand. But if you just aren't feelin' college right now, I'd suggest you stick it out, and you'll be glad you did.

Go with the good doctor's words as your political career will never take off without a degree.

I started college when i was 16 and did 28 credit semesters (spring summer and fall) for 3 years and had 2 classes before i graduated with a medical and accounting degree. I took a semester off.....it ended up being taking 4 years off..... i finally went back and graduated and am currently in grad school at 26. Stay in school if you have the money. you'll regret dropping it. Any degree is worth money. A friend got a Computer Science degree and is now works for the FDA as a inspector. I went through med school and got through 2 parts of my USMLE's and ended up an accounting about to sit for my CPA exam. I'm still young, but i wish i would have done it years ago so i could have the money now. money is always nice.

I have no idea what I would have graduated doing or where I would be, but I guess I do regret leaving college. I went for a year undeclared and eventually just dropped it. Got a job and went from there.

I say stay in some sort of school. I know at your age the words of others don't really matter, they didn't for me, but I do feel the need to say it again. Learn something and try your best to get a good job.

When you're 60 something, with a 401K from a good job, retiring with money you'll be happy. I know way too many people who are still working blue collar jobs into their late 50's with next to nothing saved. It's a hard life.

I hated college... I dropped out with 15 credit hours.

Now I'm a contract programmer and consultant. Had I stayed in college I'd be making a few extra dollars an hour.

I still would hate what I do though.

I see you're from central jersey. Middlesex county has an xray program. Actually most community colleges have them. You might also look into UMDNJ, it might be more expensive but a better program. Good luck! As a shout out to my own career, ultrasound is very rewarding!

My major was English. I didn't realize how it was a dead end major.

Besides, being involved in the medical field requires interaction with people, which I enjoy. I'll also be able to help people.
