<p>I know how to rip cd's to my computer, but how do you rip a dvd movie? I use windows media player to rid cd's can I use this to rip dvd's or should I use something different?</p><p>Any help/instructions on how to do this? thanks</p>

<p>This one is my favorite, <a href="http://www.mpegx.com/view.php?detail=323">SmartRipper</a></p><p>Sometimes you have to open the movie in windows media player first to "unlock" and then open smartripper. I haven't used it in a while, so it shiould work on most discs unless they have some new protection.</p><p>BTW just to let you know, using these programs violates the DMCA, but it's all fun and games until the MPAA folds. </p>
