That must have been the price of a new car. My first computer was a commodore 64. I got it used for xmas back in like 86 I wonder what my mother paid for it? </p>

<p>I had a TRS-80 &quot;<a href="http://www.coco3.com/ind_faqs.php">CoCo</a>&quot;.</p><p>I learned some BASIC programming with it, because my dad got me a subscription to a magazine called &quot;Hot Coco&quot;.&nbsp; It mostly resulted in me copying 200 lines of code from the magazine, attempting to run the program, getting a syntax error, and then looking through the code for an hour to figure out that they used a left parenthesis rather than a left bracket.&nbsp; You learn programming pretty fast doing that. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Good times...&nbsp;</p>

<p>I got it used for xmas back in like 86 I wonder what my mother paid for it?</p><p>I don't know about used, but in 83 or 84, the Vic 20 was 200 bucks, and the Commodore 64 was 600.</p>
