<p>I went to a jesuit university and when they expanded the dorms on campus they built a bunch at once.&nbsp; They spent a lot of money decorating each building with nice artwork and sculptures on the outside to give them character and make them a visual representation of the jesuit community, but the last building they built was just about done and they ran out of money.</p><p>Then the contractor had an amazing idea to give the building it's own symbolism without costing the university any money at all.&nbsp; They raised bricks along the outside of the building to represent the notes of a gregorian chant.&nbsp; The resident jesuit (I lived there) in my building knew the song by heart and would sing it from time to time.&nbsp; He tried to teach us one day when we were outside sitting on the stairs, and I knew it for a while, but I've forgotten it now.</p><p>I thought it was pretty cool.</p>
