I loved that shit did it have an ending or was it cancelled first. Did the comic book end either I tried to get all of them but failed.

I don't think it ever went beyond the 13 episodes that were on TV, but the wikipedia site says the show started midway through the story and the comic goes much further.

In fact, they say that the show relies heavily on scanned images from the comic... and watching them again, I realize that is true. It's basically animated scans.

I will get the comics one way or the other. I need to know how this ends.

The cartoon runs for about the first 10 issues of the comic and does have an ending, but the comic wasn't even near the end when it happened. The story of the Maxx in the cartoon goes to issue 20 and then there's another 10 or so issues about the little girl who's grown up.

There were tradepaperbacks released in 2005-6 of the entire series. I think they released it as 4 books.

It's been bugging me for years and I know how hard it can be to get trade paperbacks that are out of print.

A quick summary of what was happening and what happened to all the characters would be greatly appreciated. A sentence on each would be fine. Please.

It's easy to get the whole series if you'd like to rewatch it. I found it on isohunt and it took about a half hour to download it.

http://pages.prodigy.net/maxx006/image.htm

I found that link which has summaries of each comic. That might help if you want to know what happened.

I got it from www.isohunt.com and did a search for "the Maxx"

I just sat and watched every single episode and sure, there's an ending, but it's so not satisfying. I mean, Julie leaves, max takes off his mask and purple suit and walks off to a greenhouse in "his own outback"

I guess that's a bit of closure, but it does seem like there's got to be more. I am going to try to track down a copy of the books. I think there are 6 of them. Shouldn't be all that hard to find with the help of the internets.

I loved The Maxx and pretty much all of the MTV Oddities cartoons, especially Aeon Flux.

I was going to clarify that this wasn't saved by the bell in the title, but I wanted to see what would happen if I just called it what I did. I'm shocked it took this long to go saved by the bell
