Did the Opie/ Fez/ Norton thing ever come out? Seems to me it was swept under the carpet rather quickly and I've had the impression since then that things were a bit iffy.

Happy Thanksgiving buddies!  Not often I get to hang in a listening thread.  Great opening tune.  I grew up listening to my parents playing the Band.  When I was 14 or 15 my dad took me to see them at a club in Manhattan called Lone Star Roadhouse.  Fantastic show.  Anyone remember that place?

I'll have to agree with Earl on "Alice's Restaurant". It is too much of a Thanksgiving cliche. I've heard it enough. Seems just like a way to pad the show by 17 minutes without much effort.

I guess you guys didn't hear the beginning, but Ron said it was a family tradition of his to drive down to Maryland with his wife and two kids and search the radio to find "Alice's Restaurant."  Now with XM, there's no need to search and Ron could actually play the song and dedicate it to them.  It was a great sentiment, and I can't believe you guys are running it down.
