I'm tired of people discounting the cardinals world series because they had the worst record into the playoffs. If the best team at the end of the regular season is supposed to win the series then stop having playoffs.

The World series winner has been the best team twice since 1989. 04, 03, 02 the wild card team won. The yankees had the best record in 98 and won the series. Also in 89 the A's, Coached by Tony LuRussa, had the best record and won.

The cardinals are not liked because they aren't a coast team. I can take that. But they went through the playoffs as a underdog and won. So don't discount there World Series.

If you win the WS, you win the WS, period. That's what it comes down to.

The past two years have had to have sucked for you Mojo: this year the Cards win the Series and last year the White Sox did. That's got to be a kick in the balls to every Cubs fan.
