I hear about these people who camp outside of stores so they can get the new console releases everytime theres a new one. Camping outside of Target for 3 days??? What a bunch of god damn losers, I dont get it. I used to love video games but its pathetic really , as of sept i stopped playing video games alltogether. Ill only play some now , but why do people waste time just so they can play some games that wont matter after they beat them where they can wait like a NORMAL person for it, We live in a society you see and it shouldn't be accepted.

The only thing I can see camping out for is tickets and I'd never even do that.

I think a lot of the people waiting on line just wanted to sell their PS3 on ebay. I wouldn't mind spending maybe a night in a line to turn $600 into $4000 but if your waiting in line for 3 days to play that console yes thats pretty stupid just wait a couple months.

Oh man its so lame just thinking about it, the only thing i'd ever wait in line for that costed a 3 day wait would be a blowjob from a extremely hot girl and thats only if i have my ipod with me during the wait and if i can sleep through the wait.

My buddy got a brand new projector yesterday and after playing gears of war and fight night on a 200 inch screen i don't care if gamers are considered losers.

i know a guy that bought like 10 of the PS3 and sold them on ebay. all he has to do now is go get them and then ship them to the roobs (SP?) that paid 1200 each for them through ebay. god there are suckers out there just begging for their money to be taken.

Hardcore gamer to me is someone who competes at games and takes them very seriously. Ever since ebay made auctions a reality to everyone with an internet connection the people waiting in line for things in short supply don't come off as hardcore gamers for the most part.

I waited in line for Halo 2 when it was launched, but I had it preordered, it was in stock, and all I had to do was show up at midnight and pick it up. After the letdown I felt on that one it will be a long while until I do THAT shit again.

I used to compete at Rainbow Six 3 with a team of dudes that were all 20+. Most of the team was made up of sucessful, intelligent people who enjoyed a little competition in their lives. One of our guys is actually a nuke engineer.

I do agree that there are some people who get so immersed in the games that they come off as really strange... those people are losers, but there are a lot of people who see nothing strange about playing games, act like they do in real life online, and just enjoy the teamwork and competition.

So I half agree about them being losers.

Who's the bigger idiot? The guy camping out for three days to sell it on ebay, or the idiot who's going to buy it from him for two or three grand?

Don Stugots

papa, there are other ways to buy them without standing in line. there are people that can buy or sell in bulk that you can go to their "office".

I never understood why people have problems with what people do with there free time. Who cares that some people are fanatical about gaming? There are 15 year old kids pulling in 6 figures because they are great at playing games. Would you laugh at someone who practices basketball for 8 hours a day? Everyone has there own thing, and if you are fanatical about it, more the better. What's worse is people who have zero passion in life.
