I don't know why I just put this out there to get smashed, but I just went to digg.com for the first time and it's actually a really fun way to get a feel for what's out there on the internet today. I like it a lot more than just surfing the news and search engines.

Oh, forgot to mention... this post is from the past... about what... 5 years ago?

Never heard of it either. You're either not that behind or we're all out of the loop big time.

I'm still working out how it actually works, but it's a site where people put up links of interest like an RSS feed and people can "digg it" which adds to it's popularity.

I heard about it from a friend this afternoon who was talking about an article he found there. I said "uh... what's digg?" and he went off about how this is the only place to get news/news gossip/tech stuff on the internet.

I just figured I was the last one on the boat... now I feel better.

it's also the best place for 21 year old CS majors to flex their internet muscles

Is that like "The Google" ?

I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to read every single article on the internet that mentions the WII or Kevin Rose.
