Here's a neat tool that tracks name trends from the 1880s to the present.

For example, Ron, peaked in the 1960's and has pretty much disappeared in the new century.

Fez... well.. nothing.. BUT Todd also peaked in the 1960's and kids are still named that today, but now ranks #588.

My name hit a high rank of #8 in the 1970's, which makes sense because there were a lot of kids in school with the same name.

NameVoyager

Man, in 1920 Virginia was the #7 name. We could have ruled the WORLD!

Instead, I have spent my life trying to find pencils with my name on them, and found only personalized snuff containers.

Adolf was mildly popular in 1910, and never since. Strange.

Jason hit #3 in the 70's when you lucky fucks got me!

However, if you add all the takes on the name it'd be ranked even higher as Jay and Jayson have decent ranks as well. Jayson started to be ranked in the 50's and throughout, while Jay goes all the way back to the start of this study of sorts ranked from the 1880's on. Jason however wasn't ranked until the 50's and it was very low 375, 60's at 87, 70's 3 of course, 80's at 11, 90 at 45, and lately ranked around the 40's as well.

Cool site.

Though my real name remains privileged information (I haven't even told my kid's what my full name is) I will share the fact that the highest my name ever got was 318, back in the 1930s. Yeah for being different. Many a fist-fight in grade school I can assure you.

Thomas has been on a sharp decline since the 1940's.
oddly enough, my niece's name, Caira(pronounced KIRA like the major from DS9) shot up sharply last year.
