But I moved to Manhattan last year.

Okay so maybe this isn't the
appropriate thread REALLY, but
I can do Long Island things
without having to live in
strip mall land!! Oh my god it
drives me crazy!! And that
accent!! Do you know how hard
it was for me growing up in
Manhattan to avoid having a
New York accent? And Long
Island is a million times
worse! I can't STAND to hear
myself tawk now! And as far as
Port Jeff goes... it blows,
except for the ferry to CT
whcih makes it easy to get to
Boston. I have NEVER seen such
a high concentration of
restaurants serving HORRIBLE
clam chowder - in a harbor or
anywhere! I've had better
chowder in the middle of
Colorado! wtf???

I know what you guys mean. Its just such a grating awful noise. I remember this girl Tammy Roux who I knew from college one day busts out with : "Oh my GAWD! I am so pissed OWF! My mawm took our dawg for a wawk and now its lawst!" She was a sweet girl but I almost slapped her.

Aside from the accent and everyone liking the damn yankees LI isnt that bad. I really like west hampton.
