Hmmmm Does it matter if its out as a single yet or not? b/c my favorite right now is "Famous Last Words" by My Chemical Romance. "Breath" by Breaking Benjamin is a close second. Both albums kick major ass!

I'm going to assume by the underwhelming response to this thread that many people on this board are less than thrilled with the current state of popular music and are therefore contenting themselves with older releases, as well they should, because there is more great music than any of us could ever hope to listen to in our lifetimes so why waste time on what might be a very quickly passing trend when we all know that music that will stand the test of time will always be there for us to enjoy and isn't that the reason for recording it in the first place?

This message was edited by FezPaul on 11-12-06 @ 12:44 AM That's pretty much my story.  I've been listening to a lot of different non-recent stuff lately, especially Rufus Wainwright.If I had to pick a favorite song of the last two months, it would probably be "White & Nerdy."However, I did hear a portion of a song on CSI the other night.  It was a version of "Word Up" that I found out was by Willis.  I don't think it's new, but I did like the snippet they played on the show.

i really love 'wolf like me' by tv on the radio (earl opened a show with it ove the summer) ... i listen to either my mp3 player or talk radio, so my exposure to new/pop music is limited

this week i've been listening a lot to john prine's  "sam stone" and rage against the machine's "killing in the name of" i wasn't paying attention to "new" but it's new to me. anyway, new song is "show me what you got"  by jay-z, although i'm really not a rap guy
