http://www.slate.com/id/2143810/

i love it. i think this commercial is so fucking elitist and condescending, much like mac's president.

this has always been mac's problem. MARKETING does not equal good computer. Bright colors and a cubic cpu case does not equal good computer.

i've always found those commercials quirky and pretty funny

i'm not a pc user, and have no desire for anything apple related

i even enjoyed the best week ever spoof over the summer

It's not really a lambasting. It's just a review of the commercial. They point out some of the positives of the commercial and ultimately give it a C+.

Seeing as John Hodgman is insanely funny and they got him to play the PC, I always assumed the commercials were actually pro-PC. Who the fuck wants to buy a computer played by the guy who's showed up by an idiot who thinks he's a pirate in Dodgeball? Stupid hippies. They can't do anything right. Go back to painting your computers dorky colors.

John Hodgeman actually writes the commericals, I believe they
were his idea, and he is very much a proud Mac user.
And Slate is usually linked through msn and msnbc, so I think
they're pretty close with Microsoft.
