Nip/Tuck is one of those rare shows that actually gets me to forget that I generally dislike watching TV. Anyway, season 4 has come upon us and I can say that this season beats season 3 so far. What are people's thoughts on this season? Here's a list of some of the noteworthy events so far. Obviously, if you're a fan and don't want to get the show spoiled, don't read anymore of this post.

WARNING

SPOILERS AHEAD

Sean and Julia have a child with deformed hands, Sean bangs the first babysitter and Julia bangs the male dwarf babysitter after the first babysitter conveniently gets hit by a bus right before she frames Sean for rape; Larry Hagman shows up and drops dead, Christian gets involved with an ex hooker who drugs and removes people's kidneys, Kimber gets Matt sucked into Scientology, and Melissa Gilbert (Laura Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie) has an East Side Dave moment in which she is caught using peanut butter to get it on with the family dog while her husband is away in Iraq (I figure this is most relevant to fans of R&F). Oh, and drug lord Escobar from Season 1 escapes from prison while getting surgery from Sean and Christian to repair severe facial burns that Escobar secretly inflicted upon himself to set up the escape.

Richardson Quits US Show To Be with Sick Daughter

British actress Joely Richardson has been forced to put her career on hold to care for her sick daughter. The 101 Dalmatians star has temporarily quit her hit US plastic surgery drama Nip/Tuck
to be with her teenage daughter in London as she faces multiple
operations to fix a circulation problem in her leg. Richardson tells
America's TV Guide her daughter Daisy was diagnosed with circulation
problems when she was born and medics told her parents she'd be in and
out of hospital when she hit her teens. The actress says, "Surgeons and
hospitals have been a big part of our lives. We were always told that
she would have to have more surgeries when she got older. The time has
come." Richardson admits she had no choice when it came to deciding to
quit her hit show. She adds, "I love my work but I had to be in two
places at once and I thought, 'If it were all over tomorrow, what would
I regret?' It would be not being there for her." Richardson fears
she'll never be able to return to Nip/Tuck, but series creator Ryan Murphy is hoping her character Julia McNamara, will be back. He says, "I don't want to do the show without her."

It's laughable, but I enjoy laughing. My chick got me into this show last year and I haven't watched the entire first season (just saw the first 7 episodes or so), none of the second, and most of the third season. So perhaps I have an advantage and can enjoy the fourth season more as a result- but I'm enjoying the 4th season! It's television anyway, which thrives off of unrealistic situations. I don't think the show has, to use a burned out phrase, jumped the sharks yet. No helicopters crashing through the hospital yet. I never considered any show to be that realistic anyway. They wouldn't be fun if they were fully realistic. Again, I'm ignorant of the previous seasons, so I'll probably wind up agreeing with you Missy. So long as Sean and Christian don't kiss, it's not too ridiculous for me.

I never understood how Christian and Sean both fight/fought over Julia.

Her nose is incredibly huge and slanted and it makes her voice nasal. I'm not saying the wife had to look like a supermodel but c'mon..
