<p> </p><p>i'll say the gramercy area ... </p><p>dinner at les halles, pints at rocky's and a stroll over to irving place -- beautiful brownstones and all in the shadow of the empire state building</p>

Damn I couldn't pick one section.
Gramercy has some nice bars, but I like eating in Little Italy, or some soul food in Harlem.

<p>THe West Villiage especially above 7th Ave, has the most charm. Old brownstones, winding streets. </p><p>Parts of downtown I really like too. Mixes the old and new. </p>

E. Harlem between Lexington and 1st and 103rd st. and 122 st......I used to work that neighborhood and got to know alot of people down there....when I go back there and just walk down 3rd ave.....I meet about 20 people I know and get at least 2 invites to lunch or dinner.....and sometimes their daughter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
