You're a kid. You're running home. You're there! What door did you go in? What was the primary door that everyone used?

Mine was the basement door, the side door.

Our front door was only used when guests arrived. No back door on the house.

Front door most of the time, but if I was dirty, it would be the one of the back doors. Remember when kids still got dirty?

Is this thread metaphorical?

If so... I really liked entering through the back door.

Basement door, my bedroom was there, so that was nice and convenient, especially since I rarely would have ever made it past my parents sobriety test.

Back door which we never locked. We lived in the country and would go on
vacation for a week and leave the house unlocked the entire time. I don't
even think we had a key for any of the doors.

4th floor apt, one door in, one door out. actually we did have a second door in what was considered to be the back of the hallway but my dad kept it locked down with a 2x4

he bought aluminum chain ladders in case there was a fire, the ones you hook on the windowsill. that would've been fun climbing down 4 stories on one of those...

Our house had 2 doors, a front and a back. We only went in from the back. The front door was just for visitors. Whats weird is when you start getting to know a new friend, and you go to their house alone for the fisrt time, you go to their front door. At some point, they will become comfortable enough with you before you given the privilage to come to the back door.

In which one of the ten houses I lived in growing up? I was a military kid, so whatever door they gave us.
