I thought of this today while I was listening to my Trio album. It always
makes me smile and puts me in a good mood. How can it not with songs
like "Da da da" and "Anna-let me in let me out"
Others that came to mind were Kix's first album and B52's Wild Planet.

Wild Planet was my first B-52's album. Almost any of there records make me smile. Kate and Cindy also gave me other special feelings.

Git it Beau Jocque! (or really, anything at all by) Beau Jocque and the Zydeco High Rollers.

There's just something about Zydeco music...you can't stay angry while listening to it...it's just so goddamned cheery.

I had the Trio album in high school. I was taking German and we had an exchange teacher from Germany named, wait for it, Frau Bueller (we used the young frankenstein frau blucher/horse whiny bit early & often). She was built like the Reichstag and was the embodiment of stern germanic stoicism. So I love my Trio album, I don't have the track listings, and I'm wondering what this one track's title means... "Frau Bueller, what does Drei Mann In Doppelbett mean?" She turned beat red and would not answer for a long time. And finally just as the bell rings, "Three Men In A Double Bed."

B-52's album is a great choice. Different album but Mesopotamias's "Before I Speak / I Should Read A Book" is one of the finest lines ever.

This one makes me smile:

The Young Fresh Fellows / The Men Who Loved Music

Very especilally "When The Girls Get Here" and "Amy Grant"

"Before I Speak / I Should Read A Book"

Holy crap! I used to use that line all the time. I'd even use the Fred voice.

loved the B-52's first two albums. brings back memories of parking down by the river, smoking a joint, sipping a beer, and just laying back looking at the stars and the new york city skyline while the B-52's were crankin

I always wondered what they were saying! I've had the album since high
school, too. I always thought they were great (even with the cheesy casio
drum beats) and was glad they got some recognition when VW used their
da da da song a few years back.
