Anyone interested in going?  I am a season ticketholder but I am going to the Giants game and can't go.  Great seats.  $72 face value per ticket.  For a budday I will do less than half price.  $70 for both.  Can meet you in MAnhattan/Brooklyn/Jersey City tomorrow night or Friday night.

I have to do family stuff.

Just got word that my grandfather's had an accident in Japan (he lives here,
was on vacation) and is in the hospital with a metal plate in his head where
he crushed his skull after slippig outside the hotel, and my grandmother is
coming back alone (she has to go to her chemo).


Isn't that lovely news?

Glad you found someone for the tix, terry. I would have LOVED to have

Thanks for the wellwishes for my grandfather too. You know what's dumb?
He only has one appointment book - his secretary doesn't have a copy - so
right now they're desperately trying to figure out all his upcoming
appointments so they can cancel them.

It sounds like he suffered no damage to his brain, but the thought of having
a metal plate in your skull... iiiiiccccckkkkk!!!! But actually everyone's
relieved that he didn't break a hip or something - they think he will recover
from this ok, so long as he doesn't get any infections. Too bad it didn't
happen here, but I suppose Japan is a better place than most for this to
have happened to him. He'll be alone over there for the next ten days or so,
and then someone's going to have to go and get him. My mom and dad just
got back from a trip to Japan, and as I said, my grandmother will be coming
back this weekend for her chemo (she's got liver cancer, which generally
means you'll be dead within a year or so, but she seems to be doing really
really well so far. We didn't expect her to make it to Thanksgiving!!!!).
Anyway, sorry to hijack the thread...
