Best Album of 2006 [Archive] - RonFez.net Messageboard

I know we still have two months before the year is out, but I figured I'd get a jump on it. Simply put, what do you feel was the best album put out in 2006. Running the risk of sounding like a pussy, My Chemical Romances Black Parade is a masterfully done album. It took me a few lsitens to really grasp the meaning of the album. It's a concept album about cancer. The first song seems to bew the realization that the character isn't going to last much longer (2 weeks I believe is the time giving) and the rest of the album is all the emotiosn that follow suit. The runner up would have to be Heavens-Patent Pending. The band Hevaens is a two piece band with Matt Skiba taking the nod at singing, and Josiah Steinbrick is responsible for the music. The music is influenced by the Scissor Sisters rather than The misfits sound you get with Alkaline Trio. The lyrics are still dark, but it works so well with the music and it's ambiance.

i like sean lennons new albumalso its the only thing new i've gotten this year i
liked the new my chemical romance stuff i saw on snl and heard a bunch
more in some store in the mall the employees were playing it and all
being giddy teen girls about it sooo embarsessed i enjoyed the couple songs i heard but probably not going to get it and listen to it for now the

I haven'tbought an album in nearly 5 years. My wife will buy me the new Eminem disc when it 'drops' but other than than I don't buy music. I either download online or burn someone elses discs.                         Just shitting, I don't download or burn. I'm a talk radio guy, when it's not talk I get funky with my XM on Channels 7, 14, 20, 46 or 47. Music has been so downhill since Brittney decided to have sex with that mongoloid.
