I've tried and tried and tried to quit.

Hundreds of times.

I've done hypnosis, the patch, cold turkey. Chewed enough gum and sunflower seeds to wear out my jaw. Yet I always come back to 'em.

They're delicious. And despite what the grown ups say, they most certainly are cool.

I took to cigs like a duck to water. True story - I was a vehement anti-smoker in my teen years. Hated 'em. I used to rip my friends apart when they smoked. One night we were all drinking and I asked for one. I took a long drag and it was instant love. I didn't cough or choke or anything like what I'd seen on TV or in movies.

The next day I went out and bought two packs and ripped through 'em. I've been hooked ever since.

I casually smoke. I usually don't feel the need for a cigarette when I'm alone (occasionally when I'm stressed) but if you put me in a group I'll crave one like there's no tomorrow. Double that feeling if someone else is smoking.

I started smoking cigars first though, so I don't really inhale cigarettes.

I started smoking when I was 13, Marlboro Reds. I slowly worked down to Ultra lights, and I pretty much don't smoke anymore as of a few months ago. For some reason, I just didn't want to smoke anymore on a regular basis. It was strange, the craving just went away, first I didn't smoke in the house, then I didn't smoke in the car, then I just didn't smoke for days at a time. I do still smoke when I drink, I cannot break that habit.

All you have to do is listen to the RF clips with Nicotina and that should be inspiration enough to stop smoking.

I've smoked cigarettes before, and even though I don't smoke and am asthmatic, I can suck em down, roll it around in my lungs for a bit and exhale through my nose just like the cool kids. I've never felt compelled to take it up as a regular habit though which is good because I'm cheap as hell, and I think they stink like ass. I guess I must not have an addictive personality.

Smoked for almost 30 years..just decided I didn't wanna smoke anymore one day. 2 1/2 years later, it still bothers me at times, but I just wait it out.

The longest I've gone since I was 20, was the first 7 weeks I was in boot camp, and the occasional 2-4 weeks of jail time here and there.

I know it's already been said, but I love my Guinness and cigs. But only when I drink. I can't smoke if I'm not drinking, I don't get it. But I guess it don't make me a bad person.
