<p>Wow! When I get my PS3 next year, this is definitely one title I wil be checking out. I can't believe the amount of heroes and villians they included. It totally blows away that Justice League Heroes game in that regard. </p>

The game is probably the best out of all the comic RPB Games you get <br />Voice acting is allright but you do get alot of really bad Iron man Villians but than again you probably have the greatest Marvel villain of all time DR Doom as the big baddie at the end

I just finished this game last night and I have to say this was a lot of fun to play. I'm not as big a comic book fan as I was when I was a kid, so there were a few heroes that I had never heard of before (i.e. Moon Knight, Luke Cage, Deadpool, Spiderwoman). Still, it was a blast using them all.
There are only two complaints that I have. One, the game was too short. It's hard to get enough gold to max out every stat in the costume you choose and you have to constantly replay missions over and over again just to do so. Two, it sucks that the Xbox 360 got the preferential treatment once again and us PS3 owners didn't get to play as the Hulk (my favorite Marvel hero).
I do have a question though about something near the end that didn't make sense to me storyline-wise.
If the heroes that tried to stop Dr. Doom were defeated and apparantly killed, then how would it be possible for them to be available in your party?
Can't wait for them to make a sequel to this as it's obvious from the ending who they plan on going with as the main bad guy.

He wasn't available initially, but I heard that you could download him for the Xbox 360 version. Us PS3 people didn't get squat to download.

I picked this up on ebay cheap for the wii recently. I'm enjoying it, but the wii combat system takes some getting used to. Also, I'm not really a comics fanboy, so the depth of characters available is kind of lost on me.
One marginally related question -- I was never really a Captain America fan as a kid. I never knew exactly what his powers were or how he got them, and I always took him as a normal guy with a powerful shield. As such, he seemed kind of boring. When I saw he was in my team to start, I was disappointed, but he's kind of badass. I dig the shield move where you can do all kinds of damage from a distance. So anyway, what's the deal with Captain America? What are his powers, and how did he get them?
Thanks for the Comic 101 info.

I did when it first came out. Nothing specific, but noting that, given the ending Galactus was the most likely villain for the sequel.
The end was very similar to the X-Men first game, which showed that Apocalypse was going to be the villain of the second case.

Here's the lowdown, based on my memory. Cap or Steve Rogers was the original 90 lb weakling who wanted to enter the Army right before WWII. Because of his physical problems, he was rejected.
However, the Army had the "Super Soldier" Program, which tried to create super soldiers using a serum created by a Dr. Eisenstein. Steve Rogers was the test subject. It worked pefectly on him, but after the operation, Dr. Eisenstein was shot and killed by a Nazi spy. The Super Solider Serum was lost.
Cap essentially became the ultimate human being, but not really with "super powers." Essentially, he became superior to every Olympic athlete on every level (strength, speed, endurance, etc). Given the Cap America title, and an unbreakable shield, he and his sidekick Bucky fought in WWII. He became a soldier's soldier and was very knowledgeable in strategy, tactics, etc. The comics have essentially portrayed him as being the best at planning a battle, and leading a team.
In one mission near the end of the war, he and Bucky stopped a (nuclear?) missile from hitting an Allied target. Bucky was (thought to be) killed, as was Cap. Cap was thrown from the missile into Artic waters, and the cold water plus his physiology put him into a state of suspended animation for years until he was found by the Avengers (Marvel's super team).
That's my memory. Here's (http://www.marvel.com/universe/Captain_America_(Steve_Rogers)) what Marvel says.

This kinda annoyed me. In the game, whenever you had Capt. America try to pick something up, he would always say "That's too heavy." Yet, this is a direct quote from the Wiki: "He was once seen bench-pressing 1100 pounds (500 kg) unassisted."
He can bench 1100 lbs., but can't lift a lousy barrel?

Does anyone know where my copy of the game is? My girlfriend and I were playing it all the time for the Wii until I had to send the Wii back for the component cable connection repair, when the Wii came back the game was no where to be found.
Knowing my stupid carelessness I bet I left it in the Wii when I sent it back to Nintendo and a lucky tech got to keep it for them self.

same shit, different scenery. walk thru level, meet bad guys, beat them down, repeat. When you get to a boss, rotate thru characters using their special abilities to create combos and take down villain. Occassionally go back to the main area to save/level/dump extra eq/etc.

Yeah it's a perfect game to play with the girlfriend (or fiancee or wife). It's a mindless hack n slash that requires no real effort and has tons of super powers. This style of game is the one we play the most together, its a late night lay back and just mash the buttons kind of thing. We got it after coming out of Gauntlet Legends on the cube and afterwards we went on to Champions Norrath on PS2.
When the second comes out we will be getting it for sure.

I'm just happy that I get to play as the Hulk this time. The original was yet another game that us "lowly" PS3 owners got shafted on in regards to extra downloadable content.

Here's a recent Ultimate Alliance 2 trailer. (http://www.newsarama.com/common/media/video/player.php?aid=28656) Looks good but is this how the game play will look? If so, great. I just can't believe it.

Been playing the shit out of this for a couple days now. Gameplay is still the same button mashing frenzy, but I am loving all of the ancillary Marvel NPCs that are in the game. Seeing a perfectly rendered Patriot, Hercules, and War Machine is awesome. Not to mention Juggernaut who is perfectly realized. His running charge as it demolishes everything in its path is very satisfying.

Must be nice to have him since a bunch of people can't get the proper code sent to them even after we pre-ordered the game.
Gamestop really fucked this one up and doesn't seem to know how to remedy it.
You wouldn't happen to have an extra PS3 code for Juggernaut, would you? I'm sick and tired of waiting for Gamestop to get off their worthless asses and send out the right codes.

I just got this yesterday, but can't play until I finish the other game I've been playing. I'm playing the last boss in that game and when I'm done I'm goig to this game.

King Imp - you can just make up a number on that site to get the code. I did. First i did it legit and got no e-mail after two days on a yahoo.com address. The second time i made up the number and used a gmail.com addy and got the code within 12 hours. Just make sure you use a number less than 200 for the last three digits of your fake number. The number you're entering on the gamestop site breaks down like this:
Store number/register number/transaction number
They obviously have no way of checking so use whatever you want. Hope that helps.

Also if I had an PS3 code I'd help you out but I have a 360. If I ever get the extra 2 codes I put in for I'll give them out here.
