<p>I went to Maryland once. I was visiting DC. Wasn't paying attention on the Metro and ended up at the U of M exit -stepped on the platform and then caught the next train back. </p><p>Good people there.</p>

Plato's Diner on Route 1, right outside of campus, has great omelettes and some of the best damn coffee I've ever had. I used to go down to see my girlfriend (fiance now) once every couple of weeks throughout college and I would always insist on going there for breakfast every Sunday morning before I hit the road. Cornerstone bar was also a pretty good place to watch college football....and I enjoyed Jungle Grill very much!!!

I had no idea there were cool things about MD until we went down to visit. We have been down several times. His family is so great too, Just very nice and honest, and I love the little accents they have. </p>

His family is so great too, Just very nice and honest, and I love the little accents they have. </p><p>same here, i was just joshing with the "nothing to do with them". we don't get together much anymore but when we do they are the warmest people to be around. the same with my relatives in west virginia. if you visit them they treat you with such hospitatlity. when they visit and are ready to go home i love the "okay yo'all come on down and visit us ya hear"...</p>

story about PG, when my dad was a kid, his neighborhood in Palmer
Park/Landover Hills (down ol' 202) was so black, he got bused to a
white school...which I always thought was funny</p><p> </p><p>PG
also has the highest per capita income among blacks in the United
States....and probably one of the highest murder rates...yikes.
Its such a strange place. Almost overnight, it went from 90
percent white to 90 percent black (all the whiteys fled to Calvert and
Anne Arundel)<br />

<p>If so, then they have a pretty impressive working knowledge of DC and PG county crews. But yeah, regardless, I have no doubt they're wannabes. I think the really scary people out there don't spend their time on a message board. </p><p>It is hilarious though in general. It's a nice contrast from say, rf.net. We need to see if the mods will let us use smileys that fire AK-47s though. That's my favorite part. </p>
