Also, about Asbury Park...

A lot of the mom & pop stores that Ninny misses in Red Bank migrated to Asbury. Also, although there are areas where Asbury still resembles Beirut, it's made a lot of strides since that O&A broadcast. Also, there's a large community there that will make Stugots and Reeshy feel right at home.

What a small world. My grandfather used to have a produce stand in Holmdel or Hazlet on 35 called Siano's produce, next to a bowling alley. They pushed him out of there for condos, then Dearborn Farms blew into something big and it's been big ever since!Q
Union county should be in this too, at least the southern half or it could be considered a border county. I'm in South Plainfield and see no reason scotch plains and clark and plainfield couldn't be included. kenilworth and elizabeth may be out of range....plainfield is a great city, if you don't have to go to school there.. they have everything you need. great food everywhere, and every kind of store you could want, from industrial supplies to dress shops and all of it is mom and pop, there are no mall stores in the hood.

The speed limit on that stretch is clearly marked: 45 MPH. My kids are riding around in cars on Route 18 all the time. You're not going to get any sympathy from me. I had some filthy illegals rear-end me at a red light while I had my kids in the backseat. It was a good thing that the cop showed up within two minutes or I would have killed the fuckers with my bare hands.

The speed limit on that stretch is clearly marked: 45 MPH.

here's the thing. it's not. this was a few years ago but they were doing major construction on 18, i was coming from my friends house in old bridge, where its not the shopping district and it dipped from (i can't recall either 60 in the no shopping zone, to 45 near the stores) whatever it was, i got hit up for 2 mph over the speed limit...lemme repeat that, 2 mph... at 2am with nobody on the road. i went to court and the judge threw it out. but it was the point of the whole process. i know what an unmarked cars lights look like so i intentionally stopped at a yellow light as he was a good 40 yards behind me....we wait at the light as he is now behind me, then here come the lights. his partner was on the side of my truck (passenger side)like if i made a move he was going to be right on top of the situation.

If i didn't know any better there was a camera crew in their car as a 2nd car showed up for backup. way to fight crime. you can tell these assholes were the shit in highschool and are now disgruntled old men working the radar division in a town with zero crime. i don't have a problem with cops...sensible ones.

my friends a cop in jersey city, they fucked with this rookie so bad today b/c he had a car towed that the registration was a week expired. some woman got shot in the head and killed today in a convenience strore, i think you have better things to worry about.

All I needed was a coathanger. "We'll call the fire department for you". "No, that's OK" I said.
