How can you explain the Runaways influence on rock? Legendary. Sure, they couldn't play for shit, but they were among the first all female punk groups, and their music was raw and angry. I once had the pleasure of meeting Sandy West at a Plasmatics show, and she was very cool. Her passing saddens me.

I, for the most part, hated 70's rock with few exceptions such as Motorhead and some of the heavier groups.&nbsp; When I started going out with my current girlfriend she introduced me to some of the really cool chick bands like The Runaways and Girlschool.&nbsp; This is a sad day.&nbsp; I hope Earl opens the show today with some Runaways.<br />
