When do you start to make your plans? does anyone have anything planned already? if so what? any ideas? I am thinking of going to a rock club or bar or a comedy show, etc. last year we went to club snitch in the city and it was cool but packed. I would go back there this year but pay some extra $$$ for a private table.
Right now, My plan includes me seeing my bf off to work, and then when the ball drops possibly calling him, or him calling me (maybe) to say "happy new year", and me crying most of the night wishing we were together.

Last year a few of us went to Brother Jimmy's Bait Shack 1644 3rd Ave (corner of 92nd), we had a blast drinking and having plastic alligator fights that they give you with your drinks. BBQ was included so it was a yummy good time. We got ther pretty early so we got a table, and at midnight you heard the ruckus from Times Square, pretty cool.
Not sure yet, but I'm sure the night will include my famous "drop the pants as the ball drops" routine.

My town does a fireworks show at 7:30 about 100 yds from my front door. I usually invite a bunch of folks with kids over for drinks and food. At 7:30 we watch the fireworks and by 9:00 everyone goes home.

Its perfect. I've done something fun on New Year's Eve and get to bed early.

Here's to me...Middle-Aged Suburban Dad!

Last year I saw Robert Randolph play at the 930 club, which was an absolute blast until my ex puked on herself and passed out in the bathroom. This year I might head to the Rams Head in Baltimore to see Clutch, but I haven't commited to anything yet.

What if someone who posted in this thread doesn't make it to New Years Eve? Then on New Years Eve, we'll all be crying, and revisit this thread and say "Oh, look at what Stugots wrote he was going to do New Years Eve before that horrible auto-erotic asphyxiation accident. He was so young and full of life! How could he have been taken from us?!"

I'm just saying...that would be weird.

I've always just go over my band's house on New Years, drink heavily and sleep it off until the next morning. We'll usually try to play some music with me drunk too. Jenn doesn't drink that much and Bob doesn't at all, so it's usually just me making an ass of myself behind the set but it's fun for a short time.
