So we've had 24 hour drinking in England for the last 8 or 9 months and I can honestly say it's one of the best things the government has ever done for my great country. When ever you are at a house party these days (not like in the past when you run out of beer and the partys over) you can send your friends to the nearest ASDA or TESCOS (our equivalent to wall mart I guess) to but a couple of crates of Heinekin or whatever the drink of choice is.

Like I said 24 hour drinking is the future.

your (ever so slightly drunk) buddy.

Darren in England.

I always assumed it was always 24 hour in the UK. That, and the drinking age is 2.

I still don't understand the logic that Virginia uses for it's laws. In the store, you can't buy past midnight, and in bars it's 2AM. So in other words, if you're at home, and you want some beer past midnight, instead of popping into the local 7-11, you have to go to a bar... where you will drink... then drive home drunk.

I concur....Jealousy is in order. Here here.

You have a pub on every corner which you can walk to. We have to drive. It'll never happen here.

Can't buy beer/wine in a grocery store, and pretty much at all on Sunday's. I was in Baltimore last Labor day weekend, went to go pick up beer for while we were cooking out Sunday, and ended up driving around like a mad man refusing to believe that all the liquor stores were closed. Fortunatly my chick's sister knew of a restaraunt that did take out orders, and let you buy beer also. The line was out the door with people just buying 6 packs.
