Good Colleges for Professional Writing Majors?

<p>I'm currently attending a county college and hate it. I made the mistake of not going to Western Connecticut State University where I was enrolled to study what I wanted to study.</p><p>I want to transfer, and I was wondering if anyone knows any good schools for the major I want. </p>

<p>Iowa Creative Writing Workshop is the top.</p><p>After that, is Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Princeton, NYU etc . . .</p><p>There are some local ones, but they are expensive. I went to New Paltz, which is cheap.&nbsp; Their program is ok, but I wish I chose one more challenging.&nbsp; Sarah Lawrence is excellent but 28000 a year.</p><p>I suggest speaking with the professors in the deptartment first, and finding which one will push you the hardest.&nbsp; Professional writing requires discipline more than talent.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
