Jersey is one of the few places in America that has it all.

You can ski in the winter, surf in the summer. WE have many mountains, and a whole coat of beaches. You can live in a city, the suburbs or you can live on a farm. We have winery's. We have major sports teams. Many horse tracks, you can gamble at the 2nd most popular casinos in the world (AC). We are minutes from the greatest city in the world (NYC) The state has many cultures to experience. NJ was one of the first to be part of the Union (USA). There is so much more the biggest problem with NJ is we never get the respect we deserve. By being so close to NYC we become the red headed step child. I hate whenever I travel and people TELL me where I'm from and they always say NY and then I say no NJ and they say, same thing. God No.

I travel north jersey every day for my job and it's amazing how diverse the place is. I've lived here all but 3 years of my life and I'm still shocked by the variety of stuff.

I mean, you get on 78 west in Irvington (horrible ass ghetto) and end up out in flemington (beautiful countryside and farmland). Then I go north to High Point where it's basically mountains and farms and then south to Trenton which again... is shit.

I've aquired an appreciation of this state that you really can't get from the outside. It's very different than portrayed in the media, but not WHERE they show NJ. It really is a shithole where you think it's a shithole, but there's a lot of good here too.
