oh man this is hard to chose I love Hayao Miyazaki's work but can i
chose one to be my favorite or then theres disney i love disney flicks
eat me i love empiors new groove alot and lilo and stich maybe even
better

i just cant pick

maybe of all time i love the yellow submarine because i have seen it so much

Shrek, the Incredibles, Finding Nemo and Charlotte's Web (if they've redone it, I mean the original)

Uncle Fezster wrote:

Yes. Enough said. Also wins for my favorite musical.

Miyazaki definitely a strong showing. I've enjoyed all of those movies, but at the end of the day, I'd rather watch Saddam Hussein pull out a dildo.

Emmet Otter shouldn't count. It was a tv movie. And not animated.

Not just my favorite animated movie, my favorite movie period.

Here we go:

Nightmare Before Christmas, The Corpse Bride, James and the Giant Peach, Jimmy Nuetron, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Im sure there are more...Just cant remember.

One of the worst animated Movies, Hoodwinked...I should have just taken a lighter to the ten bucks...piece of shit.

Also solid:

Rats of NIMH - oddly compelling. And how can you not love mutant rats.

Always have been a fan.

Brilliant, and holds up.

From one of my favorite series of books growing up. Disney fucking buried this because it didn't do well at the box office because it was "too dark and scary for kids." Maybe for pussy kids. It was phenomenal. Hard to find today, although I did see it on the Disney channel recently.

Brilliant idea. Fantastic music. Possibly the best movie soundtrack of all time. Might be my second favorite animated movie. A work of art.

Because of the hilarious racism. Difficult to find today because people are too PC.

If puppets count then it's Team America. If stop-action counts then it's the three Wallace and Grommit shorts that came before Curse of the Whererabbit.

I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide?

I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over, sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride

A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we're only dreaming

A whole new world
A dazzling place I never knew
But when I'm way up here
It's crystal clear
That now I'm in a whole new world with you
Now I'm in a whole new world with you

Unbelievable sights
Indescribable feeling
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
Through an endless diamond sky

A whole new world
Don't you dare close your eyes
A hundred thousand things to see
Hold your breath - it gets better
I'm like a shooting star
I've come so far
I can't go back to where I used to be

A whole new world
Every turn a surprise
With new horizons to pursue
Every moment red-letter
I'll chase them anywhere
There's time to spare
Let me share this whole new world with you

A whole new world
That's where we'll be
A thrilling chase
A wondrous place
For you and me

After giving this some thought:

1. Princess Mononoke

2. Finding Nemo

3. Spirited Away

4. South Park

5. Toy Story

Honorable Mention: Grave Of The Fireflies. I can't say that I "enjoyed" it, nor am I sure that I will ever watch it again. But I felt more emotion watching that film than any other I've ever seen. It's not a movie that you would think would be an animated movie and at first you would think its even inappropriate as an animated film. But after a little thinking I'm not sure there's any other way. If you ever get a chance you should see it.

c'mon sheepy hamlet isnt lion king minus the disney ending? u have the king being murdered by his brother. the heir facing an exodus. the ghost of his father. the monkey shaman the equivalent of the grave digger. plus the whole whining and moaning about doing something for most of the story until the final act. i mean its definitely a disney version of hamlet, so its u dont have the mother fucking the kings brother, or the whole everyone dying at the end but thats cuz it was a kids movie. it was definitely trying to be hamlet at least.

It is like Hamlet, minus any of the dark, really intelligent stuff about the nature of man, or any of the same pathos and character development, and with a much happier ending where he gets the girl, kills his adversary and everything is happy. That better?

I think it's more like Star Wars then Hamlet. They both have James Earl Jones.

Most of these have already been said but,

1. Toy Story 2. I used to live with my nephew so I saw this movie easily 50 times. I love the part where buzz meets zurg.

Buzz - I'll never give in Zurg. You killed my father.
Zurg - No Buzz, I am your father.
Buzz - NOOOOOOOOO!!!

2. The Jungle Book. How can't you love a movie with a character named Bagheera

3. All Dogs Go to Heaven. When I was a kid a pastor told me my dog wouldn't go to heaven because he didn't have a soul. Obviously he didn't see this movie.

4. The Iron Giant. Just an overall great movie with great message.

5. The Nightmare Before Christmas - I actually wish I lived in a Tim Burton created world.

6. The Incredibles. This I wouldn't even consider a kids movie is was so good.

7. Ninja Scroll. A really good anime, with pretty unique characters, and mimimal monster rape scenes.
