Night of the Creeps...I remember that on cable.

But....you gotta see Slither, this years ripoff of Night of the Creeps. It had the alien worms that jump into your mouth making people zombies. It was very tounge in cheek and kinda creepy, but it definately borowed heavily from that old cheese fest.

I don't know if this is underrated enough but the movie with the "Tall Man" (i think its Phantasm but i might be mixing up the title with something else) always scared the hell outta me. I've seen it like thrice and would get it on DVD but Im always such a little girl when im watching it.

Dario Argento's SUSPIRIA was great but we're talking underrated. SUSPIRIA is way up there on just about any horror list. If I'm going with underrated Argento I have to say OPERA. There's one shot where someone is looking through a peephole to see who's outside the door. I won't spoil it but I had to pause the DVD and go back several times to re-watch that one sequence. Amazing. One of the most ambitious sequences I've ever seen on film.

DEAD ALIVE is a great flick if you like mega-gross-out chills with some laughs.

After that movie the director - I forget his name - was brought to Hollywood to do Blade II and Hellboy, then he went back and did Pan's Laberynth which won some technical Oscars the other day. But his best movie is still The Devil's Backbone, which really works as a ghost movie but has so much else going on.

And I can't explain why but if 13 Ghosts is on I can't turn it off.

Underated? Maybe not. But I'll say so because he's Korean and not widely known here...PARK CHAN-WOOK's revenge trilogy...SYMPATHY FOR MR. VENGEANCE, OLDBOY, and LADY VENGEANCE. LADY VENGEANCE and OLDBOY were especially great. I rent about everything these days but made a point to pick these up for my collection. Well worth it. GREAT FILMS if you can handle subtitles.

=

I've fallen in love with the Tartan Asian Extreme series; Oldboy is a must-see, IMO. Outstanding.

Deadly Friend had one of the best killings when she fires the basketball at Mama Frattelli's head and it totally explodes.

They've been showing Evil Dead 2 on cable a lot this past month.
