I've been liking this year so far. Yes, they are definitely running smaller arcs (the current one being the rapist arc), but there are also hints of future arcs, such as Dick coming to Logan for help in the second episode.

They are also slowly building the new members of the group, such as Mac's roommate. I'm betting we'll learn more about her character as the year goes on, and she'll be more than the party girl/slut she started off as in the first episode of this season.

Plus, you got to love that Veronica has adopted a Battlestar Galactica curseword.

Are you saying that you can accept "fake" dialogue from characters who are in a creative occupation, because such people have a job requiring them to be witty, creative etc. However, you can't accept similar dialogue from characters in a non-creative position because such people are witty or creative in real life?

I have to feel a little insulted. I imagine that I would be considered a suit, but I think I do have some witty and/or creative discussions. Plus I know a number of other "suits" or business people who are very witty people. Obviously, these people are less likely to be as funny as someone hired to do be funny, but that doesn't mean they are not.

In addition, I have to believe that even "creative" people usually don't have these type of discussions. Just because someone has the ability to craft a witty dialogue within a piece of work that may take time to write (show, play, etc.) doesn't mean that the same person would be able to speak witty, etc. in a "impromptu" conversation with others.

After proofing this post, I realize that I may be taking this a little too far (especially about being insulted). I guess my overall point is this: I understand your point, but in the end, for me that point does not affect my enjoyment of the show. I have never been annoyed at Amanda Peet's one-liners because I don't think that such dialogue is unrealistic for the character as a suit.

To clarify my point: I'm not saying that the dialouge on Studio 60 is actually realistic, just that I can accept it from someone in their situation more than on a show like Firefly or a show about Teenagers.

My problem with Firefly isn't the fact that there is witty dialouge, it's the fact that it's happening so much and from EVERYONE. They focus a lot more of their thoughts and energy on being witty when they should be focused on trying to save the ship/steal the antique gun or whatever is going on at the time. The characters on Studio 60 are putting on a comedy weekly so it makes sense that they would be more focused on being witty, but it isn't always realistic. You are correct, Comedy writers are not always going to be very funny in person.

Also, being a "suit" doesn't mean you can't be funny, and that wasn't what I was saying. I'm sure you have witty and/or creative discussions but I don't think you are spending your whole day trying to be witty. And being a "suit" doesn't mean you're not creative. Amada Peet really bugs me on that show, but I can put up with it.

I've finally caught up with all of the eps aired so far. I'd liked them a lot, although I thought Logan got over Veronica pretty quickly after moping around so much. Some other minor problems, but I enjoyed the eps.

Anything in particular you want to kvetch about from the finale, Jon? Feel free.
Truthfully, at this moment, the only detail I remember people bitching about was how Beaver got Veronica's text message to Mac.

Apparently, USA Today has declared Veronica Mars dead:
Read AICN's Article (http://www.aintitcool.com/node/32333)
However, it appears that fans can still write in, etc. and see if they can convince CW to keep the show on the air.
Gilmore Girls is on the bubble according to this article.
