Watching the Mich - Minn game when they lost the clock on the scoreboard.

The ref made an announcement - "Time will now be kept on the field"

It was weird seeing the scorebox in the top left with no clock...

made me think - how weird it would be if football changed because of this tech glitch?

what if only the players, coaches and refs were aware of the time?

but the viewers had no idea of how much time was remaining.... or anything clock related.

would it affect how you felt about the game? would it add to the game ? or hurt it?

I think purists who love the not knowing the time would hate people with stopwatches.

At least around here, when I attend local high school games, the "official" clock is always kept on the field by the refs.

The scoreboard clock is run by some dope associated with the home team and is usually a minute or so off at the end of each quarter.

With all the cute high school girls at the games , I am never bothered by the inaccurate clock
