Moody Blues... some cool stuff. I wouldn't use the word "rock", though.

Winwood... Talented guy who is probably the father of "don't sell too many albums too early".

Toto... Some interesting stuff, and had the ability to put "Kilimanjaro" successfully into a lyric.

*edit* I'm an idiot. I was thinking Frampton, when I made my Winwood comment.

TOTO is the shit

On a kick ass system they sound so fucking good.

I put TOTO in the same box with Steely Dan

So good that you only listen to them on special occasionsas not to get fried on them

"hold the line" is IMHO one of the best songs every written.

Oh Dear I should put this in confessions... please be gentle...

I was in my first band in 1978, the year the Toto album came out. I played keys, so our cover setlist went something like:

Toto: Child's Anthem/You Supply the Night, I"ll Supply the Love opened the show a lot

Styx: Come Sail Away, Fooling Yourself
Foreigner: Feels like the first Time, Cold as Ice, Blue Morning Blue Day
Billy Joel: My Life
Bob Seger: We've Got Tonight
Toto: Hold the Line
Emerson Lake and Palmer: oh god this hurts I cant even type it

amongst others

and yes, we always, always ended with a full 20 minute version of Freebird.
