Fox is demanding $1.00 from the cable providers in upcoming contract negotiations. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Fox plans to yank the channel from balking cable outlets in hopes of "unleashing the wrath of the channel's base of vociferous viewers." Tim Carry, senior vice president of affiliate relations for Fox News, told the newspaper the network believes that getting $1 per subscriber is reasonable, based on the performance of the channel. It is the only news channel that regularly is included among the top ten cable outlets, placing seventh in September, according to Nielsen Research figures released on Tuesday.

Wouldn't it be a glorious day if they pull their channel and then no one, or not enough rather, demands it back?
Do it FOXNC, and maybe this would work out for the best.

Fox news is making the mistake that its viewers could actually write the cable companies to unleash their wrath.

Maybe they can finger paint it in their own feces

Ugh. I hope they pull it from Direct TV. My mom has Direct TV with about a million channels. All she watches is Fox News. She has XM Radio. All she listens to is Fox News. She's 74 years old and bought a lifetime membership to the NRA because G Gordon Liddy said it would make her a better American.

The only time she's ever fired a gun was when she was in her 30's. She was trying to show her friends how the safety worked on my dad's 22. She shot the dresser.

Ailes Warns Personnel Changes May Shake Up Fox News

In a statement that likely caused shudders among some Fox News employees, Roger Ailes said Thursday that News Corp Chairman Rupert "Murdoch didn't invest a billion dollars in this company so people can have jobs. ... He did it to WIN. ... He wants to win and so do I." Ailes made the statement in a company State of the Business Address, in which he also remarked, "We cannot rest on our accomplishments, and I will continue to make changes." Separately Ailes told the Associated Press on Thursday that he intends to be "dogmatic" in pursuing rate increases from cable providers for the channel. FNC now reportedly receives about 27 cents per subscriber from the cablers and has asked for an increase to $1.00, The first contract to come up for renewal will be one with Cablevision Systems, covering primarily the New York City area, which expires on Oct. 7. All of the other contracts expire within the next two years. "Our viewers have let us know that they don't want us taken off," Ailes told the A.P.

What an ass.

Please let this blow up in their faces.
