I would have gone into a completely different direction and I would have went in the engineering direction. I see guys making a killing in my company and I cant get these jobs now because I never applied myself to certian sciences. The sciences I did apply myselft to, (astronomy, earth science etc.) have no meaning in this world. I should have gotten into physics, geometry, chemestry.
I am kind of happy where I am, but I could have the rug pulled out from me. If I had that back ground, it wouldnt be so easy and if it did happen, I could move into something equally pay worthy.

I would have taken college seriously the first time, Instead of being there now and being a fucking 30something freshman.

I'd still have dropped out of college... it wasn't doing me any good anyway.

I think the only difference would be that I wouldn't have stayed at my last employer so long...
My head is still pretty fucked from all the stress I endured there.

Engineering (just had 2 more years to go) or a mad doctor.

But
I settled for halfway (55% ain't bad), since I do work with people
being diagnosed with having a mental illness who may also have a drug
abuse history.

If studying didn't take up alot of time, it coulda happened.

i would have really gotten my degree. my resume now just says i finished college, but it didnt, it was too much money, and i was getting in with the wrong people and doing things that were bad just to pay tution. i would have most def. vecame a cop. i wanted to be a K-9 cop so bad. i still do at times.

or

i would have gotten into stand up and then radio and followed those dreams rather than just hanging out here making jokes and getting mad at dave for making it.

Also, I would have gotten into my present company right out of high school too, and this way I would have a lot of senority by now.

Reeshy - same exact thing. DVM.
After college, I worked as a lab tech (stem cell research) for a couple of
years, then I went to graduate school to do a PhD in ecology. I spent 4.5
years there, decided I hated academia, and worked as an anvironmental
consultant for a year. I decided last August to do what I always wanted - be
a DVM - so I quit, moved back to Manhattan, and volunteered 40 hrs/week
for 3 months at an animal hospital, where I still work a few days a week.
I'm taking a few classes at Hunter (two english classes over the summer,
and curently in organic chemistry and biochemistry) that I didn't take as an
undergrad, and will be trying to get an animal-related job after I'm done in
December. Vet school is REALLY hard to get into. Orders of magnitude more
difficult that medical school, and I'm very nervous about it, particularly after
hearing that most people have to apply an average of 3 times before they
get into one. I'm going to be in my late 30s by the time I'm done, assuming
I get in somewhere on my first shot. I haven't even started school for what
I want to do for teh rest of my life, and meanwhile so many of my friends
are married, have kids, own houses/apartments/whatever... but oh well. I
have no regrets - I've feel like I've done just about everything in my life so
far and I never would have done it if I'd just gone straight to vet school right
after college.

Either a veterinarian or zoologist, or a raidio personality, or I would go back to colllege and become an artist that was trained and educated properly, (instead of just self taught) and be as poor as a church mouse, but happy with life, Im dirt poor now and hate everyone.

I have several different interests, and thats why when I look back I could kick myself...because I didnt do anything about it then. Im going back to school now, and in 2 years I will be done. I will go back for something else after...this way I can have 2 things to fall back on. Look out world.

I should have killed more japs when I was on Iwo Jima!!!!

I always wanted to be either a winger for the Detroit Red Wings, a short, right-handed first baseman for the Cincinnati Reds a la Pete Rose, or take Ronnie Wood's place as Keef's guitar partner in the Stones.

Other than those three dream jobs, there was honestly nothing else I ever felt particularly passionate about. That's why I dropped out of college three different times - I could never decide on any one thing I wanted to commit to. I'm the classic "jack of all trades" type guy. Millions of things interest me a little bit, but nothing ever seemed like my life calling.
