I thought I'd share some news with the board. I just accepted an offer from a client of mine to work for them as an in-house attorney. I'll be getting a pay cut, but my hours will be much less, and I'll have a better lifestyle, and can spend more time with my wife and daughter. I'll also be moving to Hartford as well. I'm hoping I'll be able to listen to R&F at work, but we'll see. I defnitely would like to attend a R&F event or two before the move.

Congrats on the new job. I have a friend that is clerking for a second straight year because he's in no hurry to jump into the super long work weeks that big law firms demand. Sounds like you're making the smart choice.

Ive been working for 18 years, so please allow my 42,000 dollar a year ass (with a BA and MA) to be as jealous as hell of you. Im envious and very very jealous that you make lots of money AND are part of the American Royalty known as "Lawyers".(No matter what a woman will tell you,...she will cream her panties just knowing your a lawyer). Im too old, and not smart enough to become one so ill continue to be jealous.

I KNOW im not the only one. ANy other miserable hard working underacheivers out there?
