i really hate the nfl no game past 4:15 rule, with less then 2 minutes to go and the titans driving, they cut off the feed b/c of the above mentioned rule and i didnt get to see the end

obviously i live out of market so im sure in ny the feed remained but what the fuck ??

good for them though, pulling out the win

yeah along with the jets being decent at drafting at least in the first round, look brick. first game of his career he only allowed a single sack and even that one im not sure if it was his responisbility to pick up vanden bosch. and his only penalty was a holding in which if he didnt haold pennington wouldve been crushed. he is going to be more than solid.

anyone know how bad Coles is hurt?

I think his spleen got ruptured.

It was nice to hear Dwayne Robertson's name called a couple of times today. What else can you say? They played hard, they played well. I'm not overly upset about the field goal situation. Marble-Mouth Dierdorf was making a bigger deal out of it than I really thought was necessary; trying to start controversy if you ask me. I jumped up and down like a moron when they ran that kick back. I really thought it was over, but Manning did his thing, and he may be a douche, but you gotta respect his talent. And the Cal-Stanford band game ending was fun, if a little goofy. Initially, I was bummed about the loss, but in the final analysis it is a rebuilding year and a solid foundation is being put down. I would like to see some more Cedric Houston, hopefully he's okay. He was doing pretty well before he went down; I know it's only Indy, so I'm not getting crazy, but he had some nice runs today.

You guys can't be missing Curtis Martin more this year. He's better than the combo of the three backs you have now easily and I just can't believe you passed up on the trade with my Bolts for M. Turner. They would easily have won a game or two more with an average back. However, great coaching job (perhaps Coach of the Year in the AFC) based on where the team was at the end of last year. I'm for one didn't think they'd be in the WC playoff hunt along with an outside shot at the division. Yet it looks like NE will roll to another division title.

oh and tenbats whatdaya think aobut the idea that brees will win comeback oty because he he got injured in the last game of last season. how is it a comeback if he didnt miss a start.

and payton for coach of the year? just cuz hasslet didnt know what to do with the talent the saints had people think they had none. and when u have reggie bush fall into your lap how is that coaching? mangini has implemented a completely new defensive scheme nad hes made it work without the personel for it. dewayne robertson is excelling as a nose tackle, i couldnt have imagined that on acid. bryan thomas earned a fuckin extension how insane is that? cotchery and coles are second best recieving tandem in the league stats wise, fuck everyone who talks shit.

Pennington had two major surgeries. On a rotator cuff, which is a bit different than a separated shoulder. Brees never missed a start and signed a huge deal in N.O. without having a questionable year previously.

Pennington, meanwhile, was questioned if 1) he'd even be with the Jets in the offseason 2) restructured his contract because he wanted to prove something 3) Mangini questioned if he would be the starting QB going into the season and 4) the Jets are 9-7 and playing for a playoff spot when most people penciled the Jets in for 4-6 wins.

I can see Payton vs. mangini for coach of the year a lot easier than I can see Pennington vs. Brees for Comeback. But Mangini had less to work with offensively going into the season than Payton had. Mangini created a running game by committee with Washington leading the way, etc.

Brees as MVP, that's no doubt.

I'm a Pats fan living in North Jersey. I just woke up about 30 mins ago, I'm gonna lift then pack my bags cause I'm heading to Beantown to catch the game tomorrow. I've always hated the Jets, but I ain't smack talking before this one, I think its going to be a very good game.

I just got back from Foxboro, first off its an awesome stadium and I was so happy to watch my team play a game there (aside from the fact that the traffic getting in and out is absolutly horrible, 10 times worse than the Meadowlands). I was with 3 Jets fans and holy crap did they get abused after the game, some fans were downright brutal to my boys but i did nothing except laugh. If anybody ever has a chance to catch a game up there, do it. The Jets played hard, but Penningtons backwards pass was clearly the turning point and the Pats took serious control from there. Great game!
