Gleeking

<p>Did any of you &quot;gleek&quot; as a kid, or still do it?&nbsp; I never really learned it, and only occasionally would accidentally gleek while manipulating my tongue around.&nbsp; I had been a victim of someone spitting at me this way, when I was in highschool.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>One popular method is to press the underside of the tongue against the <a title="Palate" href="http://www.ronfez.net/wiki/Palate">palate</a>, then push the tongue forward while simultaneously closing the lower jaw and moving it slightly forward. Another method is to yawn deeply, and then press the tongue against the palate. This was the grossest fucking thing ever, and kids did it in my middle school in the early 90's, along with rubbing the quarters on the back of their hands really really fast until a sore appeared.&nbsp; Idiots.

<p>I remember that from Jr. High, they actually had to address it in the student handbook.&nbsp; Sour candy really increased the distance you could gleek...</p><p>As far as the quarters thing, we did that with erasers...the &quot;sissy test&quot;.&nbsp; I still have a very faint scar on the top of my left hand...so stupid!</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p><p><font size="2">When I was younger and&nbsp;I would yawn extra hard, a stream of spit would come out of my mouth involuntarily. I never knew it was a cool thing, I just figured I was a freak and I learned to cover my mouth when I yawned.</font></p>

I remember gleeking. It was big when I was in 6th grade. Like many others here, I was never able to do it at will, but I accidentally do it on occasion. It usually happens when I'm trying to get food out of my teeth with my tongue. I hate when I spray my computer monitor. Maybe I should eat at a table like a human being.
