Does anyone remember a TV show in the Sixties that was on on Sunday mornings; it had a title like:"What's New Around The Corner." If so shoot me some info on it. Thanks

Wonderama was a great program. Never before and never since have you seen a kids show that was three hours long (and we used to watch every minute). Bob McAllister was the perfect host. I think he was such a NY staple that he hosted the Thanksgiving parade for a few years. Do you remember his hit song, "Kids are people too?"

I've got another one for all of you that grew up in the 70's. I've been asking people about this one for years, and no one remembers this show:

"The Hilarious House of Frightenstein"

It was shown here in New York after school and was a kind of a variety show that had a Horror theme to it. I think it was on one of the local stations (5, 9 or 11), and was produced in Canada. Vincent Price would make appearances from time-to-time. Nobody seems to remember it.

Since I posted this I found a new web site dedicated to this great show. It even has two complete episodes for download. Check it out here:

Hilarious House Of Frightenstein Tribute Site

Two years ago, I saw Carol and Paula from the Magic Garden in concert at an autograph show. Carol can really, really sing. She sang some songs from plays she was in.

Back to my original question. The show was not Wonderama. The show in question had a title like: "What's New Around the Corner." One of the sets props/backgrounds was a picket fence that had a corner that lead to another side of the picket fence.

Captain Kanagaroo WAS EXCELLENT!!! We need more children's television like that today!!!!

I enjoyed when Rockapella was on. What can i say? I'm a sucker for good a capella groups.
Anyone remember Zoom or the New Zoo Review. I remember a neighbor of mine was on Wonderama. I used to watch that show every week. For DC fans in the early 80s kids would watch BOBO's dad's alter ego Captain 20.
