View Full Version : How do you like your coffee?

<p>I was going to make this a poll, but there really are too many options. What do you like in your coffee (milk, cream, half and half, sugar, whiskey, etc.)? In what form do you like your coffee (regular, iced, espresso, cappucino, frappucino, etc.)? If you're a tea drinker, post that info instead. </p><p>Personally, I'll take a large (fine, <em>venti</em>) iced coffee, black, no sugar.</p>

<p>I like it Lite and sweet...just like my women...... Ba dum ching</p>
<p>This is a subject very near and dear to my heart. I love coffee. I mean I really, really love it. I drink at least 6 cups a day and I don't care what the latest medical findings are, I'll continue to do so 'til the day I die. </p><p>My coffee must be hot. Iced coffee is like warm beer to me. Awful. </p><p>I prefer just a splash of half & half, but I'll settle for cream.</p><p>And no sugar. </p><p>My coffee must be caffeinated. Decaf is like non-alcoholic beer. What's the point? </p><p>I prefer a strong cup of coffee, unflavored. My current choice for the home is Chock Full of Nuts New York Style. On the road I'll take 7-11's Dark Blend over Starbucks any day of the week. </p><p>Now if you'll excuse me I'm going for another cup. </p>
<font size="3">I like my coffee lukewarm, with extra half and half and a packet of sweet and low.</font>

<p>I rarely drink coffee, but I've gotten shit in the past because I'll drink a diet pepsi in the morning. My boss walked in on me drinking his 3rd cup of the morning, seeing me with my diet pepsi and giving me good-natured guff. I was like, "It's a brown, sweetened, caffeinated beverage. The only difference is, yours is hot and mine is cold."</p><p> </p><p>On occassion, when I feel like a hot bevage, I like the push-button french vanilla shit at 7-11 or Wawa. Just Plain ol' coffee. Milk, (not cream) and no sugar. One cup before my shower, one after. Then I'm out the door. I set the timer in the PM so by 6am it's ready to go.
With a little half and half and one sugar. No flavored coffees please.<br />

I don't need you to tell me how fucking good my coffee is, okay? I'm the one who buys it. I know how good it is. When Bonnie goes shopping she buys SHIT. Me, I buy the gourmet expensive stuff because when I drink it I want to taste it. But you know what's on my mind right now? It AIN'T the coffee in my kitchen, it's the dead n in my garage.

<p>like my women - gound up and in the freezer;</p><p> </p><p>I used to drink bustello, but I think it made me too jittery and on-edge. now I'll have whatever dark "columbian" brand that catches my eye (read: on sale) and add a spoon or two extra when I make it. At home I use a powdered creamer and splenda. When I'm driving, which is always, I'd say wawa is best, followed by DD, quick check and 7-11, I'll get a dark roast and add either a fat free creamer or just skim milk (couple of drops, I don't make it light, but I don't keep it black either) and a packet of splenda.</p>

I wash my coffee mugs, but you're better off not using soap on any part of your coffee maker unless you're very thorough with rinsing it. The slightest hint of soap can ruin a pot of coffee or cup of espresso.<br />

I was buying an expensive $9.00 a pound coffee online but then ran out so
I bought some Eight O' Clock brand from my local grocery store for $2.50 a
pound to tide me over. I was expecting it to be yucky but it is fantastic! I
learned not to scoff at the cheap brands.

It all depends.
If I grind it here I just put a bit of half and half in it.
If its store bought then I usually have to put a bit of half and half with a pack or two of splenda.

do you get dirty looks when you say no sugar and then they throw sugar packets at ya anyway?
One thing I've noticed is that most latinos are absolutely HORRIFIED when you order coffee with no sugar. They look at you incredulously and ask three times "NO sugar?!?!?!"

we just discussed that last night after the bar cause I am used to that kind of look from Filipinos who own/run a lot DD's in NJ. My ex hubby's family used to scoop loads of sugar in their coffee and so I knew why they always looked at me strange at the store.

Done.
I've been a light & sweet coffee drinker since about 5 years old but recently gave up sugar (and meat) for Lent and am only adding 1/2 & 1/2 or cream for a little color.

What is turkish style grind?
I like my coffee extra extra strong with a little coffeemate - I'm picky about the powder stuff, anything other than real coffeemate just tastes like asbestos. Real 1/2 & 1/2 will do fine as a sub though, but not milk.

turkish grind is the finest you can grind it,perfect for espresso makers, gives you the strongest draw from your coffee beans. if you get the xmas blend right now the beans are moist and sticky(fresh) and makes for a damn fine cup
