Thought all in all, considering the boys were somewhat out of their element, it went pretty well...not great but not bad. A few things :

- I think the difference advantages of XM and the show should've been focused...the way stern said it was uncensored on Sirius and how great it could be. In order to not devalue the CBS Radio folks they could've said that CBS gets them more people listening and calling in, better guests, etc.

- History of the show with the firings went well...

- Anthony's stern impression went over well...shouldn't have done it the second time though.

- Anthony seemed to lead the way with speaking..it would've been nice to have Anthony set up Opie instead of Opie putting in 2 cents when he could. (for example, opie could've lead with the boston firing, and then anthony with the NY firing..)

- No mention of Jimmy norton or the other comics getting on the show.

- Didn't expect them to mention the traveling virus...too small (3 or 4 shows only in Northeast).

- All in all it came off ok...Anthony could've said something like "of course stern did a lot for radio, but we do our thing, he does his thing, and we're looking forward to taking over for him on CBS radio..."

Anthony came off like a god damn champion. Opie was mute and couldnt find his place. They definetly should have mentioned Norton, the traveling virus shows and talked more about what their show actually is today. More people than not have never heard of OandA and the interview went on like people knew them.

Best Line...... "Dot dot dash dash..me"

The problem was that they only had 7 minutes, most of which were taken up with the history of the firings, then Dave steered it right into the Stern vs. O&A thing. I thought Anthony pulled it out very nicely without getting into a complete Stern bashing. They've already been asked back in December according to the boys this morning, so they'll probably be able to get into more about the current show on that appearance. They only problem with being asked back is that they will have to bring more to the table each time.

I got the impression from Dave's line of questioning that he has it in the back of his mind to get O&A and Stern on at the same time. Which, after Dave's audience gets to know the boys as well as they know Stern, could make for some very interesting television. It also could be a disaster, and Stern would probably never go for it.

I think it was a decent appearance, especially if you take into effect people who don't know who they are and aren't listeners... I'm sure it got them noticed by some new fans.

O& A did a nice job on Letterman but when do our Boys get a shot , imagine FEZZIE sitting next to Dave while RONNIE lights up a cuban

When the Budday's get their shot, it's gonna be Ronnie and fuckin' Dave, lightin' a couple of fuckin' Cohiba, mid interview. As Dave say's "Yeah, it's great you guys are on the XM, but I got my own TV show"

Then Ron chucks the cowbell. "You see that Fez? Here I am. On National TV. And I just nailed David Letterman with a fuckin' cowbell!. You see that? Who's the fuckin' funniest guy in the world now? Fuckin' Hayseed!"

I thought that O & A did a nice job on Letterman. Anthony, was brilliantly witty as usual, he meshed well with Dave. Opie on the other looked like a 5 year old kid. He was smiling and giggling with his legs and feet kicking and flying all around. BUT IT ALL WORKED. Opie chimed in just enough times and let Anthony do most of the FUNNY! Thats the way it should be! I think Letterman seemed to have a good time with the fellas too, didnt appeared bored or annoyed.

Good Job fellas!

Less Opie ALWAYS is better.

Every interview I've read that they've given, 90% of it is Opie (who is NEVER funny). In all interviews it should be 90% Anthony who is genuinely funny and talented.

What do you think would happen if on their next appearance in December Stern walks out and they have a confrontation on Letterman? I think Dave should embrace the "radio war" thing it would make big ratings for him and for both O&A and Stern.
