Nah. Really it's quite simple. Player like Manning are stat whores just like Marino and don't know how to win important/tight games. All that skill should translate, but when it's on the line, they don't know how to pull it out.

Marty's issue is a little different as a coach. He's a "builder" as they'd call him in hockey terms. He can take bad or medicore teams and make the playoff ready. He can even take a team to the top in terms of divisions and regular seasons. Yet when the coaching takes a more serious, more precise hand in the playoffs, he falters terribly. Just like Herm, Dungy and some others.

It wasn't the biggest comeback ever, but it was the biggest comeback in a Championship game. Though Reich's comeback was in the Playoffs, it wasn't for the Championship. I'm still tripping about two touchdowns by offensive linemen. That's just crazy.

But they make the same points for Brady vs Manning, that we made for Jeter.. Stats don't matter, its how he performs in big spots and how many rings . And now they whine just we Yankee fans whine after whine after we lose. OHHHH IT WAS THE REFS... FACE IT... You got beat... THATS IT. Colts outplayed you in the 2nd half BY ALOT!! So stop it.
