The Razr is easily the WORST phone I have ever had. At this point I would suggest you get anything BUT the Razr. The only thing I like about it is it's size.

If you want to synch with outlook and the razr look...get the Motorola Q.

It's slim and has tons of functions (plays MPG video,MP3,etc.)

Of course you need verizon for this....

if u want verizon as your carrier then id go with anything by LG. their phones i literally have taken and thrown against a brick wall picked it up put the battery back in and made a phone call. right now i have the v. its like a sidekick but cooler in my opinion. its got a qwerty keyboard which is nice if you text as much as me.

Why don't you just get the regular $20-$50 phone? Pretty much any phone these days can be synced with Outlook.

I had the razr for 2 days and sold it on ebay. If you have cingular or T-Mobile I would suggest getting a phone unlocked in ebay. I was looking for a cellphone that had everything I wanted. Most US phones are behind the technology by a few months. I bought a phone on ebay from china. Its a sony ericson phone but not sold to the USA. They have a similar phone here but not with all the latest tech. As long as the phone is unlocked all you will need is your sim card and in will work in the USA. Here is the phone I bought its great, no problems and everything works with T-Mobile.

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Sony-Ericsson-W810i-W810-Phone-2GB-Memory-Stick_W0QQitemZ150025975264QQihZ005QQcategoryZ6435 5QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Thank for the input. I don't think I'll go with a Razr. I also don't think I want to spend $400 on ebay for a phone from China.

right now i have the v. its like a sidekick but cooler in my opinion.

What is the "v"?

I will own nothing but Nokias when it comes to cell phones. I've had Motorolas, Samsungs, Kyoceras, etc. and they all pale in comparison. Nokias are easy to use and durable as hell, and you can get 'em in all styles; slide, flip, or candy bar.

I have the Nokia 6102 and I love it. All Nikias have the easiest programs to use and this phone even has a built in radio! There are sinq cables available for pc use, but I never needed it. I use it for everything. It is my alarm clock, phone, camera, PDA and a dozen other things. I have seen and played with the Razr and my brother (Reef) has one and while he likes his, I find it to be annoying. I think the Nokia is the phone, if you dont want to go nuts trying to figure it out.

actually the RAZr is the shit. If you have the patience to modify it. By ReFlashing the Software on the phone you can:

Increase signal strength (but uses more battery)

20x Faster Operation, RazR stock (outta the box) software is really slow. But the modified software is much much faster.

This software is easy to use, you just need to back up you phones original software, the you can flash new software and themes etc to it. I believe it also de-brands your phone so it doesn't have a Giant company logo on it.

I think i deleted 10mbs of software off of my phone when i frst got it, and now have room to make my own mp3 ringtones.

I guess its great if you love to tinker with stuff. outta the box it sux.

The new Nokia 6102i (for Cingular) and 6103 (for T-Mobile) are identical to what Blackbird posted but they're bluetooth enabled.

One of the phone girls at work was bitching about her RAZR just a few hours ago. She said any downloaded ringtones are almost impossible to hear, and you have to posistion the phone perfectly over your ear, in order to hear a conversation.

I have a Razr. Best thing about it is the belt clip. Ok, so i liked my Samsung better. The Razr is a bunch of hype. The keypad is almost impossible to see in daylight because the buttons dont illuminate bright enough. i curse it out everyday.
