They've been discussing what college head coaches deserve the most money.

Gerry DiNardo is one of the hosts and he's whinning on and on that Notre Dame shouldn't have paid Charlie Weis the big contract after only a year ( which I agree with ) just because the NFL was leveraging him. Saying the university shouldn't pay that much just because he's an alumni. Also said he was never more than a career assitant coach.

To me it sounds like sour grapes. Maybe DiNardo's just pissed because when he was spinning that illusion at LSU that he was a good coach and there was talk that ND should go after him, because he himself was an alumni, and then we saw that he sucked as a coach and the LSU illusion came to an end, he got fired and then get banished to Indiana.

Weis may have been a career assitant, with 3 Super Bowl rings, but Dinardo never won anything ..... EVER !!!

I agree with you on Dinardo.

However, Weis is overpaid. He may be on track to bringing the most overhyped football program back to glory, but a beat down in a BCS game and a pre-season ranking are nothing to hang your hat on. Lets just see how he does before placing him on a pedistal. Yes he won at the NFL level, the college game is different, and he was not a head coach.
