<p>Wow! What a fantastic fucking episode. I have to admit that I was one of the people who thought it lost its way (pardon the pun.) But now I see that the show is back and just as good as it has ever been. Great to see the others get all fucked up for once, and the storyline with Alex, her BF and Juliet. And as I was watching it with a friend at the firehouse, I have to say I was calling out shit. For example I knew the company that wanted Juliet was a division of Hanzo, and had that confirmed when the ex got hit by the bus "final destination" style. </p><p>I am all fired up to see next weeks, and was whooping and hollering when I saw Danny get killed. Also did anyone else notice that the guy guarding the door was the same guy from "Its always sunny in Philly??" I was laughing at the fact he was doing "Charlie work" (reference to that show, weak I know.)</p><p>I think that Alex was adopted by Ben but is in fact Rousseau's true daughter. That, or Rousseau was once in their camp and was married to Ben, or had some bizzare affair that produced Alex. Now the disproving points on this argument could be the fact that she would have of remembered Ben when she captured him in season 2. Or it could be that she is so whacked out she cant remember people fully. I think both of those arguments are BS though and that Alex is Rousseau's daughter, but taken by the others and raised by Ben. Hence why Ben is her 'father.'</p>

<p>Great fucking episode. I was losing interest in the show, especially after that long hiatus. Now I'm 100% caught up again. I have a question, however: </p><p>The creators have gone to great lengths in recent episodes to humanize the "others". But I still remember when Sawyer's bullet actually bounced off the bearded leader (or the guy we thought was the leader last season). Did this actually happen or I am just making shit up? I hope they explain that shit at some point.</p><p> </p>

Any buzz about tonight's episode? If anyone read last week's Entertainment Weekly, it's looking like a lot of great shit is going to be difinitively revealed over the next few weeks. I'm psyched.
I thought the deal with Rousseau was that she was already preggers when she came to the island, then she gave birth fine, but then her crew went nuts and the others took her baby.

I think it's preminitions. If he'd lived this all before I don't think he would have tried to put up such a fight when the jewler wouldn't give him the ring. Excellent episode. I know they're getting alot of flack for the off time but the first two shows back have been real good.

I've pretty much given up on the whole storyline of the show, I look at it as more of a present day Twilight Zone, with each episode being it's own story with an ironic twist each week. Constantly hoping for answers and connections is just pissing me off.

<p>What an amazing, amazing episode. I was so into the story, and so freaked out my skin crawled, that I totally forgot about the promised reveal, and when it came....I was so happy to have watched!</p><p>I wondered about the 2 photos too, but I'm certain an explanation will come eventually. (Maybe in one parallel time, she got the photo and he paid for it?)</p><p>Anyway, wow. You above are all correct, this 2nd part of the season has been phenomenal!</p><p>Did you all catch (and how could you not?) the artwork in dad's office? Polar bears and palm trees, upside down Buddha, and backward NAMASTE! KInd of represented the episode, I thought; upside down, backwards, and things being where they shouldnt be....episode? Hell, the entire series!</p><p>What a quandry though. If you could do it all over again, and right the wrongs in your life even though it would mean you werent there to save the world when it needed saving....would you? </p><p>And that whole "course correcting" theory made me think of the WTC janitor who was out sick on 9/11/01 but later crashed in that plane in Queens heading for D.R. He was supposed to die, and time made sure he did...no matter how "lucky" he considered himself. </p><p>We're gonna have to watch that again. </p><p> </p>

<p>Well that pretty much sucked. Wtf were the three huge reveals that the commercials guaranteed? Fucking assholes, as soon as they give me hope with the first two eps of the return, now this bullshit. </p><p>I did like how the preview for next week called it a 'long overdue rescue' it made me laugh, kind of like in two eps ago when Jack was talking to Juliett and was like 'You've jerked me around enough, I want some answers now,' like the producers and writers are saying to us, yes, we know, sorry. </p>

<p>I thought a big reveal was that they didn't actually live on the smaller island. I thought they did. </p><p>I would've liked it better if one of the big surprises was that Jack was with a tranny. Last night's episdoe was soo slow. I did like the new addition to Jack's background, but the tattoo thing wasn't that exciting. The biggest revelation for me was how the people that were abducted were so cool headed about being there, and about seeing someone locked up in a cage. I thought that was really weird.

<p>so why is nobody talking about how hot that asian chick was that jack was banging, they showed a great shot of her ass in a thong</p><p>However, i agree the episode was rather slow and they had commercial breaks at 8:16, 8:22 and then at 8:34 so the episode didnt have any flow i thought because of this. and i also agree the tatoos were just a non issue in peoples mind as far as i know. Anyone notice that Juliette or whatever was also limping when she gave jack the samich after she was marked i wonder if they did something to her legs as well?</p><p> Line of the show: Sawyer punching the kid and telling him to "cowboy up" and not be a sissy crying in the jungle. But wasnt Cowboy up really used by the Red Sox in their run to the World Series but that the island people didnt know who won the world series as they showed Jack who won in a previous show.</p>

<p>Last week's Entertainment Weekly had an excellent interview with the producers and some of the cast. That article alone allows me not to worry about any slow points that WILL occur. And the producers and writers are continuing this for the fans who can appreciate it and couldn't care less about nitpicking each week. There will be big revelations in this season - but not all will be revealed. The last episode of the series will most likely do that. If I'm not satisfied then, then I'll bitch about it - maybe. Almost like a scene from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. He drank the blood of Kali and is under the spell. Now he just needs some lil chinese kid to burn his side to snap him out of it. I of course dont really believe that he is brainwashed, but I think he is hanging around to find out as much as he can. Just like the episode did about Jacks past. He tends to hang around and find out answers, even when they pain him. IE, Jack followed his father when he thought his father was cheating with Jack's wife. Jack follows Kate even though he knows she has the hots for Sawyer. Jack follows the Thai chick even though it costs him a beating on the beach. The man is all about pain...and heart as well. He prevails even after pain is delievered and sees the answers. I say give it a few more episodes before we are all wowed again. They built up something nice here.</p>

<p>I have to disagree. There are a few episodes based on people that are guilty pleasures and one of those are Hurley episodes (the other being Jin and Sun.) I thought it was a very good episode for the fact that the return of Kate and Sawyer wasnt so overhyped and such a "guns of navarone" fire everyone up to kill the others type of episode. They returned. People were happy to see them and life carried on. Sawyer went on back to his ways of stowing away and being the guy to go to, and Kate went about her ways of personal redemption. Everyones story isnt as enriched as the Kates or Jacks, but rather have "modest" problems compared to the centerpiece characters. And this was Hurleys way to redemption. </p><p>As to what commercials say: "Everyone will be talking about this tommorow."I learned to put that shit behind me many years ago back in the ER days. Commercials and snipits are meant to draw people in. Dont listen to that shit nor watch them. Just go in blind. This way you can assess for yourself whether you are dissapointed or not. </p><p>I liked how you saw that Hurleys life was filled with disappointments. We see that this is a guy who was abandoned by his father many moons ago. Then we see him working to satisfy a disappointing life. Oly to win the lottery and find that it cant fullfil the emptiness of what he needs to do. Yes I am drawing on past episodes, but I always see that Hurley episodes are almost like wings to jets. You need one for the other to work. Hurley is a strong willed guy who will help people through desperate times. We saw that in season 1 and 2. The guy has had more than his share of just life beating him down. But he is like the prize fighter we all love. He keeps getting up.</p><p> That is the way that I saw that episode. I thought it was very well done, and got a nice laugh or two out of it. Especially with Sawyer teaching Jin english. Its almost like we are reading a novel one week at a time and getting to know people deeper and deeper. Then we get a better appreciation of that character when they pop up later on. </p>

I thought last nights episode was fun. I wouldn't discount the episode as pointless yet, we have no idea what the significance of the van is. And did the french woman know her daughter was still alive, and if she did know she was alive, did she know that her daughter was one of the dissenters in the others? Not a lot of mystery around last nights episode, but it was still enjoyable.

The only thing I could think of that was/could be significant, was the pile of papers including the map of a road that sawyer found when they opened the van. I was screaming in my head to look through them but of course not.

A thought I just had, if the van crashed in the jungle wouldn't the humidity cause the body to decompose quite quickly? I like it when the producers throw in episodes like this. They might be throwaways or distractions. But they're enjoyable to watch and they tend to flesh out some of the smaller characters. </p><p>Lighten up every once in a while. And don't worry, next week they will bring back the tension and confusion.</p><p>I do agree with one of the earlier comments, however, and I hope they do a Locke episode soon. After a terrific first season, he seemed sort of like a pussy last season. He was losing his faith and crying alot: about his father and his leg and when Eko hurt his feelings. He came on strong in the beginning of season 3, though, and it seemed like he grew some balls again. He's still the best character on the show, in my mind, and I'd like to see more of him.</p><p>BTW, the scene that you mentioned where Sawyer is drinking beer next to Roger's corspe has got to be one of the funniest moments this season. </p><p> </p>
<p>Not every episode is going to be OMG crazy Dharma or island-related revelation. I appreciated the whole character development of Hurley last night. And we did learn some things:</p><p>He has Daddy issues - not unlike Jack, Sawyer, Kate, Locke and Sun (that we know of). Is this significant to why they're all there.</p><p>Also I think the point of the episode was that Hurley's luck, whether as a result of the numbers or not, is either crazy good or crazy bad. If its due to the numbers, it plays into the whole dark/light duality themes that always seem to crop up on the island. </p>

I thought tonights episode was pretty good. Not really sure what the whole ping pong thing was about but whatever. I guess those people were speaking russian. When I watch this show I feel most times (If they're around the beach or the same old jungle) like I'm a one of my fish stuck in a tank too small for them. When they get out and explore new parts of the island I love it. It's something new to see. This weeks was pretty good but I have low expectations for next week. Still one of the better shows on TV.

This show is getting boring. I loved it at the beginning, but they are dragging it on and on without a point of direction. I think they have the premise and the conclusion, but the storyline seems to be added week by week without any real idea how they are going to get to the finale. Still good though, just a little too A.D.D. this season.

I read an interesting article somewhere where the writers were talking about how the single story arc is going to last say 5+ seasons and it'll be one single arc. It's not like they are going to find out the whole mystery at the end of one of the seasons and then show up the next fall with a new story arc/ mystery to solve. True it's slow and some of the charactors (Kate) I wish would just die, but I guessyou gotta keep the bigger picture in mind.

<p>This was the best episode of this part of season 3. I cant stand anymore more flashbacks with no meaning whatsoever. I like Hurley but that ep last week was just to get cheech on the show. I dont care if they solve all the mysteries but it was nice to see a new one pop up and not be out of nowhere crazy. Last nights was just right.</p><p> </p><p> </p>
<p>Something small came up in the last episode that I just thought of and I'm wondering if there's any sort of added significance. This is at least the third time that the idea of a "listening post" directed towards the Pacific has come up. The guy they found mentioned that he was a Red Army vet who had served in a listening post in Vladivostok which is on the Pacific Ocean. The crazy guy that Hurley was friends with in the mental hospital was in a listening post in Australia or New Guinea when they heard the numbers. And then Penny Widmore set up that listening post in Antarctica to try and find Desmond. I wonder if there's a theme there or a coincidence. </p>

Lost is so back on track after the last two eps, I couldn't be more thrilled. Furthermore, Claire actually had a smart idea for once! Also, I love the parallel between Claire keeping her mom alive and Des keeping Charlie alive, and for what reason, as Jack/Claire's dad said, hope, or guilt? Awesome, awesome episode.</p><p>And next week my favorite Locke! And his real, real story!! </p>

If they can up and kidnap him and bring him to the Island, seemingly with no difficulty, then why did they crash this plane on the Island in the first place? They could just have kidnapped Jack, Kate, Locke Walt and anyone else they REALLY wanted from the real world and made their (the others) life easy. </p><p>Maybe they have a room for each cast member. <p>Those are both great questions and I have no clue. </p><p>I totally forgot about the Tallahasee thing with all of the other action...it was probably his dad. I'm so hazy on the older episodes I don't know if they ever hinted it. Did they ever show the license plate on his car? I wonder about the 'magic box' thing Ben referred to. </p><p>Maybe he meant they have the resources to track down anything you want (sorta lame but a magic box could be a computer and their connection to the outside) and they are so powerful they can make it happen. But I do realize 'magic' things happen on the island like Locke walking so it could be real. </p><p>Maybe Locke's desire is for revenge on his dad now that he is able and stronger than he ever was and truly knows that his dad is evil and wants him dead. Before the island he was banking on him having SOME speck of goodness in him.</p><p>As for the wet I just assumed he jumped in the water but you're right, he didn't have to. </p><p>I've been no help at all!</p>

Who are they going to ask? The others? And they'll tell them? They never tell them anything! What is bothering you is YOUR questions not being answered. Patience.
All great points about this episode. Here is mine: Ben said that the anomaly destroyed their communication system and that when the sub would leave it would be a one way trip. No one will ever find the island again. So it seems they're all stuck. But why would no one find it again? So that means they kidnapped Locke's dad [I]before[I] the hatch exploded.

I think the writers are just playing with the fans now. Remember when Kate, Locke, Sayid, Danielle and the eye patch guy were walking through the woods and Kate tried to ask him a question? Danielle immediately cut in to stop her, saying something like "Don't ask him any questions. It's not important."
As soon as I heard that, I was like "You son of a bitch! You did that on purpose to further annoy the viewers."

I had a bad feeling when Patchy told Kate that they were not capable of understanding (why they want to be in the island) because they were not "on the list". I just had a bad feeling that the audience would not be capable because we're not on the list, that the final reveal of the series would be so inside that we just won't really get it even when it's all laid out there. But then I remembered that it's ABC so I'm sure we are all "on the list"

It didn't seem like the "box" that Ben was describing actually exists. It seemed like an attept to distract John, who is one of the only people on the island who would buy that load of crap. I doubt this "box" is very relevant to the show. Ever since he was captured, I refuse to believe ANYTHING that freak Ben says anymore.
As for the other person's comment about the survivors never asking the right questions, I totally agree with you there. How can no one remember the shape-shifting black cloud of smoke that terrorizes people and reflects scenes from their past? It's all I would fucking think about.

Not everyone has seen the smoke monster. Locke did, but he wouldn't be one to talk about it anyway. And only Mr. Ecko had the scenes flash before him, and he's dead now. So don't worry about it. It'll come back eventually.

In season 2, after they capture Henri, when Sawyer and Jack try to get Michael back, they run into the others in the woods. The bearded guy, Tom, was leading the group and there were a bunch of them with torches all around. That was also when they grabbed Kate temporarily. Anyway, Sawyer takes a shot at Tom and I swear the bullet bounces back and possibly even nicks him on the ricochet. Again, I could be imagining this whole thing, but I remember it pretty clearly because it struck me as odd at the time.
Doesn't anyone remember this happening?

OVerall o enjoyed the episode. But i already received 3 calls from friends bitching how "they answered nothing". PEople have to remember, LOST is trying to get to 5 full seasons so they can get syndicated and make the real money they want. So the plan the writes had at the begining, is a whole new animal now. THey have to throw away episodes like this - that add nothing to the knowledge of the show, in order to drag things out.
Just accept it and enjoy the characters and ironic stuff.
( i loved when Niki said to the old director, during the first flashback, when she was killed off the series " oh its ok, guest stars always get killed off" )
I also tried to google "Medusan Spider" and found NOTHING. I also didnt see any spider listed that can cause 8 hours of full paralysis. The worst spider can paralyze a hamster or other small animal.

I liked the episode but it didn't change my mind about those two. I do feel a little weird that they were killed by Hurley and Sawyer (I was expecting them to wake up and scare the holy hell out of them. Perhaps they can still dig them selves out, they aren't buried that deep, but they are probably still paralized and can't move. Sucks to be them!)
I loved the continuation of "Who the hell are you?!?!"
I can buy the fact that Paulo didn't see Ben when he was captured, he may have heard about it but just thought it was another Other since he didn't get invited to the cell. Even if he heard the name Ben said by Jules in the Pearl station it wouldn't matter since Jack, Locke, Sayid and Ana-Lucia would have used the name Henry at the time.

Ok I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the episode and decided to give the 'new people' a chance. I will be watching episode one again to figure out if those two were actually on the beach or were they CGI'd into the scenes. Either or that is beyond the episode at hand.
I need to ask this question of everyone. Has anyone ever read the "Cask of Amontillado??" It was a short story by Edgar Allen Poe and I immeadiatly thought of it as this epsiode closed. It doesnt mean that it was based off of that, but there were some very similar elements to that short story that made really enjoy this episode.
I liked to see that we did have to real scum bags on the island. Everyone likes to say Sawyer, but these two were just real pieces of garbage. And I love that they got some poetic justice. Althought I wont add to that previous statement by saying "in the end." These two are not done...not by a long shot. And I have to admit that I am looking forward to seeing where there storyline goes.
And as a final thought, when Nicki said "Razzle Dazzle" I fucking spat what I was drinking. Absolutely fucking great!!! Bravo!!!

Razzle Dazzle is a term used in the opening sound bite for Dave's "Board Gossip". The last time they had Brian K. Vaughn on the show, he said he worked it into a Lost script, as a shout out to the R&F show.

Liked the episode, and all the little tie-ins to previous episodes, but what the fuck was the deal with Paulo dove into the pool from way up in the cliffs? Weren't they standing right on the edge of the pool to begin with? Why not just mosey on in? That was hella gay

Remember, when they captured Ben, only a handful of people even knew he was there. Jack and Locke wanted to keep it a secret.

He's Brazilian what do yo expect? I don't think that everyone saw Ben when he was captive. I think at one point Jack told the beach dwellers that they had someone but I don't think they paraded him around.

I thought that was a really stupid episode. I have no problem with the so-called "throwaway" eps, I particularly liked the one with Hurley and the car. This one, though, seemed so pointless and so unconnected with the rest of the plot that I just lost interest. Great ending, loved the razzle-dazzle, but overall a shitty waste of time.

Agreed. This episode was great on it's own, but in the grand scheme of things...
WHY?
Don't give me that bullshit about filler episodes to get to the magical syndication number. We watch this show because every episode means something. Questions are posed, secrets are revealed, more questions are posed. Every little thing can be scrutinized. And then comes this waste of time. I want my hour back. I missed South Park for this schlock.
Unless...
there was some underlying trust issues developing between Sawyer, Charlie, Sun, Desmond, etc, setting up confrontations, showdowns, and furthering the strife between "good" and "not so good."
I have no idea what's going on. But I'm in.

And she did open her eyes right before the sand was tossed on her face. We already knew they were still alive, so it is it could be foreshadowing from them that she's coming back.

I thought it was a great episode. Not every episode has to be a watershed plot moment. I liked how they actually addressed the fact that everyone who watched the show was probably asking themselves "Who the fuck are these two people?" since they made their first appearance.Very clever. The Taless From the Crypt ending and the razzle dazzle made it great.

LOTS of inside jokes in this one. I spent the first 5 minutes laughing my ass off!
First of course, the Razzle Dazzle that Vaughn promised. But there was also a "shout out" to Jimmy Kimmel, who had been using Billy Dee Williams in take offs of the show every Wednesday night for awhile. You can see them on Youtube.
And Doog, I'm pretty sure they werent around 3 years ago. But that made it even more interesting to me, with the SPECIAL dead guest stars interacting with them! Who doesnt love Arntz? And, knowing that they end up dead, they look at Boone and Shannon, and say, "lets never end up like them"...I was rolling at the double meaning.
One things for sure on this show, if someone goes to the bathroom, theyre up to no good.

I don't think they signed the actors playing Nikki and Paulo until after the 2nd season aired, so I don't think they would have been able to film it during the pilot.

wait a minute!
Paolo got a good long look at Ben LONG BEFORE he was captured by Sayid and company....wouldnt he have told them that HE IS A DEFINITE OTHER?
OK,,,we have to then assume Paolo stayed out of things and didnt know Ben was captured - but thats BS..i mean anyone in that position would know everything and anything going on around you. I mean there isnt anything else to do.
I disagree. I think the whole point of this episode was to show us the character and motivation of these two people. Even if he did know they captured Ben, Paolo never would have said anything.
Why? Because he would have had to explain that he found a hatch and never told anyone and what he was doing there...hiding the diamonds, the downfall of him and Niki. She was obsessed with them, he wanted her to forget about them. They were both completely selfish; therefore they would never put themselves in a worse position even if the rest of the survivors were in danger.
Great episode, loved it.

They mixed footage from the pilot episode (as well as other eps, like when they found the pearl station) with new footage of that day when they crashed. I'm sure they hadn't planned for this when the show was first starting, but I thought they did an excellent job with it and syncing all the new and old footage together.
Mostly I think I loved the ep because it offered up so many of those quick little easter eggs that I have come to love (think when Jack says 'Excuse me' and passes by Shannon in the hospital in the ep when her father dies), since this one was full of them, including lots of Boone and Shannon stuff, Arntz stuff, just brief little snippets of things that when you catch them you can't help but smile or be surprised as a dedicated fan.

Here we are again boys and girls. I'm thinking since last week was filler and there's only 8 weeks left they'll probably have a reasonably decent episode tonight in terms of addressing things we actually care about. Anyone know who it's about?
Also, is there anyone who they haven't done a backstory this season that you want to see? We haven't seen Charlie yet, probably saving his flashback ep for his death ep. Anyone else?

Damn it, damn it, damn it! I knew I should have thrown my theory out there before it was said on the show.
For the longest time I've had this feeling that we were gonna find out that the Others didn't know what the smoke monster was. Everyone just assumed it was some Dharma security measure, but Juliet confirmed it tonight that they have no clue what it is.

why wouldn't they just move into the Others camp? i never watch previews, so if there was something there, i'm an idiot, but just going by the end of the episode they didn't seem like they thought of it. also, why would they bother throwing kate in the woods when they bugged out and then just leave sayid and jack in the deserted camp? when juliet was telling kate where the guys where going to be i thought either: 1. the guys wouldn't be there, or 2. the camp wasn't really deserted. when it turned out the two guys were still there...made no sense.

I thought about that, and it makes sense if Juliet was the one that took Kate out there and handcuffed them together. Remember, she had the key the entire time, and she was awake before Kate was (I don't believe she just happened to wake up when Kate took her knife). And we they haven't given up on the going to the other's camp just yet, we don't know what they're plans are, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few people did want to move there.

as i was explaining to my wife, they HAD to leave a key behind, i expected it from the beginning. they weren't just going to force those two gals to be chained together for life (even tho it might be hot). i guess they haven't given up on the camp, it just seemed odd that no one mentioned it as a possibility right away. as for the kid, my wife (who remembers this shit WAY better than i ever will) says that last year sawyer mailed money to the mother of his kid, and it would appear to be the same woman. kate's mom might appear to be a bitch, but she had a great point...you don't choose who you love. even if your wife were the biggest cunt in the world, if you loved her you'd be a little peeved if someone offed her. y'know?

Ok loved the episode and I dont care what Dave and Ron say, I like the dynamic that Hurley is taking this season. He is almost like a great advisor. And I love him and Sawyer with all they have done thus far this season. Just the comic relief.
Now as for living in the others homes, I thought the same thing. You have a fucking place with running water, etc. PLUS they have a defense from the smoke monster. Take advantage of it. But I also thought of this, it is someone elses territory and they know ALL the ways in and out of there. You know all the areas around your house. How to get to here or to there, use shortcuts etc. But if I came in with some invaders, I might have maps equipment live off the land...but I dont know that sewer grate is loose in your neighbors back yard. Or that there is a train bed from an old railroad line that runs on the other side of your block. It is their territory and they know all the ins and outs.
And one thing I am not surprised about Locke doing what he is doing. Locke believes in the island. Not in the survivors or the others. He believes in the island. Ron said it on the show today...Locke is all in touch with the island. He has been since they crashed. Looking forward to this thing just carrying us even further right to the end. Then have that summertime lull where there are no more new episodes.

The reason Jack was enjoying himself, was because he was finally getting what he wanted, a trip off the island. Ben is giving Locke something he's always wanted, a chance to confront his 'father'. Ben also might be giving him so answers about the island. I would expect that next time we see Locke, he will be very much working for the others.

I hope some of you were able to pull yourselves away from the whole Imus debacle to check out the show tonight. Goddamn, did Sawyer call it early on this season or what when he told Kate, about Juliet, "that women is pure evil..." or something to that extent. I have to admit that I was floored by ALL the revelations the others orchestrated made for the survivors. The first thing I shouted when I saw all that shit was "Invasion!!!" Like I was on the beaches of Okinawa April 1945.
That is one manipulative bitch. And it was at this point in Season 2 (about 5-7 episodes left) where they did all the big reveals. Where Micheal was when he ran off. Anna Lucia/Libby being shot. Henry was actually one of the chief 'others.' So God only knows what sort of reveals they will do for this season. Cant wait.
And can someone help me on one point. Who the hell is Jacob?? Is he a character that we havent seen yet?? I remember a LOT about the previous seasons but am trying to remember a Jacob. Ohh well, lets see where this goes.

Her sister never having cancer is exactly what I thought we she was shown alive. I knew Juliette was still working for the others, if this show has taught us anything, its that pretty much everyone on the island is looking out for themselves and is trying to manipulate everyone else to get it. I'm not surprised she is still working with Ben, she wants off the island, Ben is her best if only shot at that, so she's going to do what he wants. Of course he's going to use her because of this. We also do not know exactly how Juliette feels about the survivors. After all the women she has seen come to the island and die, while the entire wanting off the island herself, she could be so jaded that she just doesn't give a fuck anybody anymore.

Herarat Aviation. "Her a Rat" They love that word play on Lost!
Jacob has been mentioned a few times this season but we have not seen him yet (or at least we didn't know we have, and we know him by a different name)

Some news...
Lost is about to go somewhere it never has: two steps forward, no steps back. According to AintItCoolNews.com, Episode 19 will be 100-percent flashback-free! The hour, says the website's mole, “focuses on one of season one's ‘mysteries’ — if that's the right word.” Well, he/she would know. For the record, the flashback lineup for the season's remaining eps is as follows:
• No. 17: Desmond
• No. 18: Jin and Sun
• No. 19: no flash backs
• No. 20: Benjamin
• No. 21: Charlie
• And the two part season finale: Jack

From www.aintitcool.com:
UPDATE!! LOST NOT
To Drop The Flashbacks!!
UPDATE!! Another reputable source told us late last night that 3.19 WILL contain flashbacks, and they'll be Locke flashbacks. So I called my original source (the one who said no flashbacks for 3.19), and that source said my latter source was right. The original source got confused because all of Locke's flashbacks are very RECENT flashbacks. All apparently take place on Dharma Island (or thereabouts) subsequent to Ben reintroducing Locke to his daddy (the last time we all saw Locke). So the real, true and now double-confirmed flashback order is:
3.17 Desmond Hume
3.18 Jin & Sun Kwon
3.19 John Locke
3.20 Benjamin Linus
3.21 Charlie Pace
3.22-23 Jack Shephard

Yeah, enjoy Charlie while you can I think. If you enjoy him at all, which I don't.
Also, if you get a chance to check out this week's Entertainment Weekly, they have a great two page article that says basically that huge reveals are coming in the next few episodes, and the producers aren't fucking around anymore because of the ratings drops. We are supposedly going to be very satisfied with how season three wraps up.
I personally think the episodes since the return of the break have been outstanding, and I think the rest of the season looks very promising.

Of the main characters who have died Mr Eko, Shannon, Paulo, Nikki and Ana Lucia have died during episodes that featured their flashbacks. Only Libby and Boone have escaped that pattern.
