These shows are great. I like listening to local public radio on Sunday nights--they
play Gunsmoke, Johnny Dollar, Lum and Abner among others. Plus commercials
from the time they aired.

Every once in awhile they would play a Whistler or a Shadow on the show in NY

I also Like Suspense and Our Miss Brooks

One of the reasons i got XM was for the old-time-radio station (for longer drives...)

I didn't even know that 202 existed!.....Now i'm mostly listening to R+N and O+A, but still enjoy the otr station.

BTW-i don't have them offhand, but (as most of you seem to already know),there are several sites with downloadable shows.

If you really like the old time radio shows and want a larger selection you can try this site. It isn't free like the other one mentioned above, but it has thousands and thousands of shows available.

I think it costs something like $7.50 per month, but you can download a lot of stuff in a month

I grab all his broadcasts that I can. No one could tell a story and make it seem real like Shep did. The other show I loved was Bob and Ray on WOR in the 70's. I'm trying to find their late 40's/early 50's "Matinee with Bob andRay" shows from WHDH in Boston. They are great radio! I have a few of them, but if anyone knows where I can find more please let me know!
