When I rented the 1st "Saw" I thought it was going to be like all the rest in that genre. But I really liked it and I liked the 2nd one even better. I cant wait to see this movie.

I was very disappointed with the first one as I was expecting a Seven type of movie and it came nowhere near that.

The 2nd one was better on gore and creativeness but the story was lame.

It just seems to be more of the same. While I'm looking forward to seeing the variety of killings in this one I have no hope to see anything resembling a decent plot ( this f'ing guy's been sick for quite some time no yet still has time to trap people in these elaborate scenarios )

As far as I understand the premise of this one its even more ridiculous.

Oh well. Bring on the gore.

I checked it out opening night last weekend and didn't think much of it. The early reports on imdb made it sound great, but I didn't see the greatness. As more people actually saw (bad pun) the movie, the imdb reviews got worse.

I really liked Saw I and somewhat liked Saw 2, but I thought this one wasn't even close to them. The story has the requistite twists, but it wasn't nearly as good as the other two. They tried to make up for it with alot more gore. I don't have any problems with gore, but this one seemed to me like they were throwing it in gratuitously since they knew the story wasn't as good. I know that's how most horror movies are nowadays, but I thought the Saw series was a little different because of the plot twists.

If you were a fan of the first two, then go see it. If you didn't love the first two, then don't waste your time.

There are alot of spoilers on imdb, so don't read the site until you see the movie. If you do, and you know what's coming (not that it's really that hard to figure out during the movie), and you will probably hate the movie.

A friend of mine "saw" it, and said it was better than the first two. What up with that?

I thought it was not as good as the first two because the twist was a lot more predictable. I was way off on the first one and mildly surprised in the second. I still thought it was a good movie, but the trend does not look good for the next sequel.
