not sure this needed a thread, but i'm bored and i keep thinking about it.

usually go to bed around 11 and get up at 5. like most i hate the alarm clock. last night i woke up and feared looking at the clock to see what time it was expecting to see 4:45 or so. but it said 12:20 and i was like a kid on Christmas. a huge smile came to my face and i flipped over like it was the best news ever. as good as that feels, i get just the opposite extreme when i see something like 4:45 as if those missed 15 minutes b/c i can't fall back asleep is going to ruin the rest of my life. just seems strange to get so happy or mad over something that happens everyday.

That is the best thing ever! I had a similar experience last night. I woke up, thinking it was maybe 3 or 4, but it turned out to only be 1am! If I wake up 15 minutes or so before I have to get up, it really does bum me out.

Yeah, that is indeed a great feeling.

Before I got married I used to wake up 2 or 3 times a night and have that experience. I rarely had any trouble getting back to sleep.

i ve had that experience many times (waking up and it not being closer to the time you wake up as you thought)

but ive also had the flip side of that

which is while at work thinking it's like only 10 am and its actually 2 pm and almost time to go home, you also have the negative side of that where you think its later like 1pm and its only like 11am

It always makes me smile when some douchebag blows by me on the
highway, and I pass him later either pulled over by the cops or upside
down on a guardrail.

I like when I click the link to track something I bought on Ebay, and it says my package will arrive tomorrow.

On the reverse, even though the one I'm waiting for now says I won't get it until Monday, I've still clicked the link 5 times tonight just to see if it got any quicker.

There's a traffic light about two blocks from my house. I can literally count on one hand the number of times in the last eight years that I haven't caught a red light there. It's only like a thirty second light, but on those occasions when it's been green, and I went right through it, it was like Christmas morning and my birthday all rolled into one.

I get happy when I'm able to get a parking spot right in front of my house. Most recent was a couple of weeks ago, as I was driving home from school, in a total downpour. I lucked out and pulled in right across the street, without even having to circle the block a couple of times.

Also, my cat, wayne, has this thing where he'll tap you while you're sleeping. he's declawed (we got him that way), and he'll start on your body, and work up so that he's tapping your face. it's the cutest thing and makes me smile.

And, finally, I get very happy when the cats follow me into the bedroom at night because they know it's bedtime. I usually end up with 2 or 3 of them with me.

I love sitting in my garden swing with a coke, listening to a
baseball game. Around the 4th of July, I can usually watch
fireworks from there. It's really great when there's a
thunderstorm way out on the horizon.

Bought a new washer and dryer yesterday. Sad to say, but
that made me giddy! I've never been so excited to do laundry
before, and I am actually hunting down things to wash. Sad, sad
life....

As a crossing
guard, it always makes my day when someone blows through my sign, and I
just wave and smile knowing there's a cop at the corner who watched the
whole thing.......$200 fine just for blowing the sign, plus a doubled
